ROBBERY ALERT:
Police Warn Residents of Robbery Scheme
ARLINGTON, Va. Ė The Arlington County Police Departmentís Homicide/Robbery Unit is warning the public about a recent robbery scheme. On Saturday, June 21, 2014, two suspects knocked on the door of a residence in the 700 block of S. 31st Street at approximately 3:22 p.m. and claimed they needed to perform repair work for a utility company. The elderly female victim allowed the men to enter the residence, where one of the subjects confined her to a room while the other subject rummaged through the remainder of the house. After concealing valuables, the two suspects fled the scene on foot and remain at-large.

Police Seek Assistance in Identifying
Commercial Burglary Suspect Caught on Surveillance Camera
ARLINGTON, Va. Ė The Arlington County Police Departmentís Burglary/Larceny Unit is asking for the publicís assistance in identifying and locating a suspect involved in a burglary incident at an office suite. The suspect entered the office suite, located in the 1000 block of N. Glebe Road, between 5:10 p.m. on May 28 and 7:45 a.m. on May 29, 2014. The lone suspect was captured on surveillance video after concealing an HP 810 laptop computer. The subject is described as a black male in his 30-40s and was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and a navy colored hat at the time of the incident.

ARLINGTON, Va. Ė The Arlington County Police Departmentís Special Victimís Unit is investigating an attempted abduction that occurred on Sunday, May 4, at approximately 6 a.m. in the 3400 block of S. Utah Street. A 30 year-old Arlington woman reported that as she was jogging a white four door sedan pulled to the side of the road and asked her for directions. The suspect grabbed hold of the victim and forcefully pulled her into his vehicle. The victim was able to fight off the attacker and run to her residence.

VIDEO: Police Seek Assistance in Identifying Malicious Wounding Suspects Caught on Surveillance Camera
ARLINGTON, Va. Ė The Arlington County Police Departmentís Homicide/Robbery Unit is asking for the publicís assistance in identifying and locating three suspects involved in a malicious wounding incident at the Doubletree hotel in Crystal City. Surveillance video captured the suspects in the lobby area at approximately 3:16a.m. as they taunt two couples as they entered the hotel. Following the comments, the three suspects charge after the victims and a physical altercation ensues, leaving one of the victims unconscious on the floor.

BB&T Bank Robbery: Police Seek Publicís Assistance
In Identifying Suspects
ARLINGTON, Va. Ė The Arlington County Police Departmentís Homicide/Robbery Unit, along with the FBIís Washington Field Office, is seeking the publicís assistance in identifying two bank robbery suspects captured in surveillance footage. On Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at approximately 12:15 p.m., two unknown males entered the BB&T Bank located at 2700 South Quincy Street in Arlington, Virginia and robbed the bank. At least one of the robbers was armed and jumped the teller counter to obtain money from teller drawers. After obtaining the money, both subjects exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Bank Robbery: Police Seek
Public's Assistance in Identifying Suspects
ARLINGTON, Va. - The Arlington County Police Department's Homicide/Robbery Unit, along with the FBI's Washington Field Office, is seeking the public's assistance in identifying two bank robbery suspects captured in surveillance footage. The robbery occurred at 1:19 p.m. on October 22, 2013 in the 700 block of South 12th Street at the PenFed Credit Union. The subjects entered the bank and approached a teller and demanded money be placed in a backpack provided by the suspects. After receiving a sum of money, the suspects fled the scene in what a witness described as a blue and white taxi. Suspect one is described as a black male, approximately 6'0" tall with a skinny build and a short beard. He was wearing blue jeans, a blue jacket, along with a black and red hat and glasses at the time of the incident. Suspect two is described as a black male, approximately 5'10" and was wearing blue jeans, a grey hooded sweatshirt and blue jacket.

Police Seek Assistance in Identifying
Two Suspects from CVS Larceny and Assault Incident
ARLINGTON, Va. Ė The Arlington County Police Departmentís Burglary/Larceny Unit is asking for the publicís assistance in identifying and locating two suspects involved in a larceny and assault incident at a CVS Pharmacy store.
The suspects entered the CVS Pharmacy, located in the 200 block of N. Glebe Road, at 3:30 a.m. on September 23, 2013. Suspect one was captured on surveillance video placing numerous cosmetic items in two handbags. Suspect two was serving as a lookout in the aisle. After securing the items, suspect one proceeds to the self checkout and pretends to pay for the items. When she attempts to exit the store, an employee confronts her and she discharges pepper spray in his face. A second employee attempts to intervene and she is also pepper sprayed. The suspects fled the scene in an unknown type vehicle.

Attempted Sexual Assault Suspect
ARLINGTON, Va. Ė The Arlington County Police Department's Special Victims Unit is asking for the public's assistance in identifying an attempted sexual assault suspect. The unknown suspect was involved in an attempted sexual assault towards a juvenile female at the victim's apartment in Columbia Heights West around 6:00 a.m. Despite recent efforts to locate the suspect, he continues to remain at-large. The subject is described as a 20-25 year old white male, approximately 5'7" with freckles and a short brown mohawk. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a white shirt with a gray design, blue jeans, and black shoes.

In Identifying Sports Pub Burglary Suspects
ARLINGTON, Va. Ė The Arlington County Police Departmentís Burglary/Larceny Unit is asking for the publicís assistance in identifying two ATM burglary suspects. The two subjects entered the Crystal City Sports Pub, located in the 500 block of S. 23rd Street, at 4:09 a.m. on May 19, 2013. Wearing hooded jackets, dark pants, and black masks, the subjects broke through the glass patio door, gaining access to the pub. Once in the restaurant the two subjects went to the ATM machine and used a crow bar to pry the ATM open.

Police Seek Assistance in Identifying Two Wallet Thieves
ARLINGTON, Va. - The Arlington County Police Department's Burglary/Larceny Unit is asking for the public's assistance in identifying two suspects that have stolen wallets on at least two separate occasions from offices. In the afternoon hours of June 25, 2013, the two subjects entered an office building, located in the 4600 block of N. Fairfax Drive, and stole a victim's wallet from her office. Later that day, the suspects were captured on surveillance video using the victim's credit card to purchase nearly $1,000 worth of gift cards at a CVS in Arlington County.

Police Seek Assistance in Locating Grand Larceny Suspect
ARLINGTON, Va. Ė The Arlington County Police Departmentís Burglary/Larceny Unit is asking for the publicís assistance in locating a wanted subject that was involved in multiple residential larceny incidents.
Justin Honaker, 33, of Falls Church, Va., is wanted for Grand Larceny and Larceny with Intent to Sell. Employed by a window cleaning crew, Honaker stole jewelry and prescription drugs from numerous residences in Arlington and Fairfax counties during work hours.
Honaker is approximately 5'10" tall and weighs around 185 lbs.

ARLINGTON, VA - The Arlington County Police Department's Special Victims Unit has arrested a suspect involved in several peeping tom incidents and police are concerned that there may be additional victims.
The suspect, 48 year-old Michael Linwood Tomlin, was arrested and charged on July 1, 2013, with Trespassing and Peeping Tom. On the afternoon of June 30, Tomlin hid inside a stall of the women's restroom of a movie theater and was seen looking over the stall at a juvenile victim.

The suspect, Barry Jason Fig, was charged on March 27, 2013 in Montgomery County with five counts of felony credit card theft related to thefts that occurred at the Kettler Capitals Ice Plex during the month of March, 2013. Recreational hockey players would leave their equipment bags in an assigned locker room before going out to the rink to play hockey.

Sexual Assault Suspect
ARLINGTON, VA - The Arlington County Police Department's Special Victims Unit is investigating a suspect involved in the sexual assault of a 17 year-old juvenile and police are concerned that there may be additional victims.
The suspect, 50 year-old Miguel Angel Pinedo-Valdivia, was charged on April 12, 2013, with Attempted Forcible Sodomy. One day prior to his arrest, Pinedo-Valdivia approached the juvenile victim outside a Columbia Pike restaurant offering potential work.

ARLINGTON, VA -- The Arlington County Police Department's Special Victims Unit is investigating a suspect involved in a sexual assault and are seeking additional victims. The suspect, Joshua Terrell Franklin, was charged on April 4, 2013, with Rape, Robbery, and Forcible Sodomy. In December 2012, the suspect, in response to an online advertisement, hired a woman to perform sexual acts.

Fraud Alert: Police Warn Residents of Recent Utility Scams
ARLINGTON, Va. - The Arlington County Police Department is warning the public about a utility scam that is targeting Arlington residents. Since the beginning of March, over two dozen Arlington County residents have become victims of a utility scam. Victims in these cases have received phone calls from individuals posing as utility company employees. The caller states that the victim has failed to pay utility bills and has an outstanding balance, threatening to shut off the utility services if a payment is not made immediately. Arlington County cases alone have resulted in losses ranging from $200-$1,000.

Police Investigate Custis Trail Armed Robbery
ARLINGTON, Va. - The Arlington County Police Department's Homicide/Robbery Unit is investigating an armed robbery that occurred on the Custis Bike Trail yesterday evening.
At 10:20 p.m., two unknown subjects attempted to block the Nelly Custis bike trail when the first victim was riding by on his bicycle. The victim was able to get away, but noticed one of the subjects brandishing a handgun. Shortly after the first incident, a second victim attempted to pass by, but was knocked off of his bike by both suspects and a firearm was brandished. Both suspects then took the victim's cell phone and fled eastbound on Custis Trail by foot. The victim was transported to the Virginia Hospital Center with non-life-threatening injuries that he sustained during the attack.

Police Seek Assistance in Identifying Burglary Suspect
ARLINGTON, Va. - The Arlington County Police Department's Burglary/Larceny Unit is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a burglary suspect. On two separate occasions, once on March 23rd and again on March 25th, the subject entered the clubhouse of the Colonial Village Apartments and stole laptop computers. A total of eight laptops were stolen from the clubhouse, which is located in the 2100 block of N. 18th Street. The suspect remains at-large.

Police Seek Assistance in Identifying Theft Suspects
ARLINGTON, Va. - The Arlington County Police Department's Burglary/Larceny Unit is asking for the public's assistance in identifying two larceny suspects. The two subjects stole a checkbook and credit card out of a victim's purse while she was eating at a grocery store in Crystal City. The stolen credit cards and checks were used to make hundreds of dollars worth of fraudulent purchases at various stores.

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Arlington County Police Department's Homicide/Robbery Unit is asking for the public's assistance in identifying four grand larceny suspects. The four subjects entered the Tourneau watch retail store, located on the ground level of the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City Mall, at 10:37 a.m. on March 19, 2013. Wearing hooded jackets and masks, they entered the store and went directly to the Rolex display case. One of the subjects used a hammer to strike the front side of the glass display case to gain access to the merchandise.

Arlington County Police Seeking Additional Victims

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Arlington County Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division is investigating a suspect involved in a burglary and is seeking additional victims to come forward. The latest incident occurred in a home for sale on the 4100 block of N. 11th Street in Arlington, VA. The victim discovered that several items of women's clothing were missing from the bedroom. This prompted the victim to review motion activated web cams that had been placed in the home. The video revealed a realtor riffling through drawers and closets and ultimately pocketing several items of clothing.

Police Charge Three with Homicide in Connection to
Suspicious Death Case
ARLINGTON, Va. - The Arlington County Police Department's Homicide/Robbery Unit has charged three suspects in connection with the suspicious death of an Arlington County resident. The investigation began when the incident was reported as an accidental death on the morning of October 13, 2012. The victim was identified as Mack L. Wood, 87, of Arlington, VA. His body was discovered inside his residence in the 3700 block of N. Wakefield Street by a family member.
