RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/31/2006, 3000 N. 20TH St. Between 1500 hrs on 12/22/06 and 1800 hrs on 12/31/06 someone broke into an apartment through a living room window. The items taken include a computer, a printer, a television, and a DVD player.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING AND ARMED ROBBERY, 12/31/2006, 5300 blk of S. Columbia Pike. At approximately 0300 on 12/31/06, a man was found by officers in the parking lot of a pharmacy. The man had been stabbed twice in the right forearm. The victim stated he had been approached by two men who stabbed and robbed him. The victim stated that the man who stabbed him may have been the same man who robbed him the previous weekend. The earlier incident was not reported to police.

CARJACKING, 12/31/2006, 5400 block of S. Columbia Pike. At approximately 0000 on 12/31/06 a man was sitting at a traffic light when a black Honda Civic with four men inside pulled up next to him. Two men got out of back of the car and approached the victim’s car. One of the suspects had a knife and held it to the victim’s neck. The victim got out of the car and ran. The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5’10” tall with a medium build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, baseball cap (turned backwards) and jeans. The second suspect is described as 5’10” tall with a medium build, wearing a black jacket and jeans.

ROBBERY BY FORCE, 12/31/2006, 3000 block of S. Columbia Pike. At approximately 0450 hrs on 12/31/06, a man was approached by two men who asked the victim for his wallet. When the victim refused, the suspects punched him in the stomach and threw him to the ground. The suspects took the victim’s wallet, IPOD and watch and then fled on foot. The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a heavy build, between 25 and 30 years old, with short hair. He was wearing a short-sleeved button shirt with vertical black and white stripes and jeans. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a medium build, 25 to 30 years old, with short hair, wearing a red jacket with blue jeans. Both suspects spoke Spanish to the victim.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/30/2006, 900 block N. Liberty St. Sometime between 1200 hrs on 12/23/06 and 0739 hrs on 12/31/06 someone gained entry into a house by breaking a rear kitchen window. The front door was found open. It is unknown if anything was taken.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 11/30/2006, 1800 block of N. 14th St. Between 0300 hrs and 0600 hrs on 12/30/06 someone entered a house through the unlocked front door and stole a laptop, power cord and bag.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 12/29/2006, 1400 block of N. Rhodes St. Between 1530 hrs on 12/28/06 and 0540 hrs on 12/29/06, someone entered a construction site and stole tools from the apartment used for storage.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 12/29/2006, 2000 block of N. 15th St. Between 1900 hrs on 12/28/06 and 0600 hrs on 12/29/06, someone entered a construction site by picking the front door lock and breaking the door handle. Two plasma televisions were taken.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/28/2006, 1200 blk N. Quinn St. Between 0930 hrs and 1800 hrs on 12/28/06, someone entered an apartment through an unlocked kitchen window and stole a large amount of change.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/28/2006, 4200 blk S. 32nd Rd. Between 1600 hrs and 2211 hrs on 12/28/06, someone entered a house through a window and disturbed various items in the house. It does not appear that anything was taken.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY BY FORCE, 12/26/2006, 200 blk N. Glebe Rd. At approximately 2245 hrs on 12/26/06, a man walking down the street was approached by three men who demanded his money. One of the men pushed the victim and the other two grabbed him. The victim was able to get away from the suspects but had to go to the hospital to be treated for a bite to the hand. Suspect #1 is described as a white Hispanic male, 6’ tall, 200 lbs, wearing a brown leather jacket. Suspect #2 is described as a white Hispanic male, 5’7” tall, 200 lbs, wearing a blue jean jacket. Suspect #3 is described as a white Hispanic male, 5’7” tall, 200 lbs, wearing a brown shirt.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/24/2006, 700 blk S. Florida St. Between 1430 hrs on 12/23/06 and 2117 hrs on 12/24/06, someone entered an apartment through a kitchen window and took DVDs and a cell phone.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 12/24/2006, 800 blk S. Army Navy Dr. Between 1429 hrs and 1701 hrs on 12/24/06, someone broke into three vehicles in a parking garage by breaking windows. GPS systems were taken from two of the victim vehicles.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 12/23/2006, 2900 blk S. Glebe Rd. Between 1630 hrs on 12/22/06 and 0630 hrs on 12/23/06, someone broke into eight vehicles by breaking windows and took various items including cash, a black laptop bag, a cell phone charger, a pair of gloves, a stereo face plate, and Christmas presents.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 12/23/2006, 1300-1500 blks N. Stafford St. Between 2100 hrs on 12/22/06 and 0200 hrs on 12/23/06, someone broke windows out of five vehicles parked on the street. It does not appear that anything was taken from the vehicles.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 12/23/2006, 6000 blk N. Washington Blvd. Between 2130 hrs on 12/22/06 and 0421 hrs on 12/23/06, someone broke windows out of three vehicles parked on the street. It does not appear that anything was taken from the vehicles.

POSSIBLE ATTEMPTED CARJACKING, 12/22/2006, 2700 blk N. 4th St. At approximately 2216 hrs on 12/22/06, two men approached a man sitting in a car. One of the men attempted to open the passenger-side door. The victim quickly drove away and called 911. Suspect #1 is described as a white Hispanic male, 5’8” tall, 150 lbs., with shoulder length dark hair. Suspect #1 is described as a dark skinned male.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY, 12/21/2006, 1500 blk N. Rolfe St. At approximately 1300 hrs on 12/21/06, someone fired BBs into the driver’s side rear window of a parked car.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 12/21/2006, 2400 blk S. Lowell St. At approximately 2200 hrs on 12/21/06, a citizen was walking home from work when she was confronted by a group of women. When the victim turned around and walked away she was punched in the face and thrown to the ground by one of the women.

ROBBERY, 12/20/2006, 4300 block of Fairfax Drive. Between 0135 hrs and 0150 hrs on 12/20/06, a citizen walking towards the Ballston Metro Station was attacked by two men. The victim says the suspects punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground. The suspects then grabbed the victim’s bag and fled. The victim and another witness both called 911. Officers responded and after a foot pursuit apprehended both suspects. Jesus Reynaldo Arauco, 24, and Juan Marcelo Del Rio, 25, were arrested and charged with robbery. Arauco was also charged with possession of cocaine.

ASSAULT, 12/19/2006, 1200 Block of S. 2ND St. At approximately 2304 on 12/19/06, a citizen reported that someone was firing paintballs at pedestrians from a vehicle. Officers responded and located a vehicle that matched the description provided. A passenger in the vehicle, Franklin Shane Cushman, 21, of Fort Myer, VA, was arrested and charged with assault.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/19/2006, 5700 Block of N. 8th Road. Between 0815 hrs and 2030 hrs on 12/19/06, someone broke into a residence and took numerous Christmas gifts.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY, 12/18/2006, 800 Block of S. Glebe Road. Between 1800 hrs on 12/16/06 and 2145 hrs on 12/18/06, someone used a BB/pellet gun to shoot out three front windows of a residence.

ARMED ROBBERY, 12/18/2006, 200 Block of S. Glebe Road. At approximately 2205 on 12/18/06, a man followed a convenience store employee into a back office and threatened him with a large knife. The suspect then produced a black trash bag from his pocket, filled it up with cigarettes, and fled the store.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 12/18/2006, 1400 Block of Wilson Blvd. Between 1530 hrs on 12/15/06 and 0630 hrs on 12/18/06, someone entered a restaurant and took an undisclosed amount of cash from three registers.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 12/17/2006, 4200 blk N. Wilson Blvd. At approximately 0100 hrs on 12/17/06, a man working security at a local establishment was punched in the face by a patron who had been escorted out of the establishment.

ROBBERY, 12/17/2006, 200 Block of N. Glebe Rd. Between 2155 hrs and 2204 hrs on 12/17/06, a man reported that a suspect approached him outside a pharmacy, demanded money and threatened him. Five dollars was taken.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/16/2006, 4100 Block of N. Lorcom Lane. Between 2100 hrs on 12/16/06 and 0600 hrs on 12/17/06, someone entered a residence and took a gold-colored mail tray.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/15/2006, 500 Block of N. Piedmont St. Between 1000 hrs and 1130 hrs on 12/15/06, someone entered a basement level apartment, most likely through a bathroom window, and took jewelry.

EXPOSURE, 12/15/2006, 1700 Block of N. Rhodes St. Between 1755 hrs and 1805 hrs on 12/15/06, a man exposed himself to a woman in the laundry room of a building. The suspect fled when the victim pulled out a cell phone and told him she was calling police. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his 30’s, approximately 5’6” tall and 150 lbs., with brown hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion. He was wearing a navy-colored hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a black ball cap with a white logo.

HOME INVASION, 12/15/2006, 6300 Block of N. Lee Highway. Between 1340 hrs and 1350 hrs on 12/15/06, two suspects entered a home, pointed a gun at a resident, tied him up with duct tape, and then fled. Nothing was taken and it’s possible the suspects may have intended to target a different home.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/14/2006, 1500 blk N. 16th St. Between 0710 hrs and 1555 hrs on 12/14/06, someone entered an apartment through a living room window and took DVD players, a camcorder, cash, and jewelry.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/14/2006, 1700 blk N. 16th St. Between 0905 hrs and 1325 hrs on 12/14/06, someone entered an apartment, most likely through a bathroom window, and took laptop computers, cameras, a bicycle, and other items.

ROBBERY, 12/14/2006, 1100 blk S. George Mason Dr. At approximately 2225 hrs on 12/12/06, a man entered a convenience store, intimidated the clerk, and left with a large amount of cigarettes. The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, 30 to 40 years old, 6’1” tall, 185 lbs, last seen wearing a black skull cap, dark jacket, blue jeans, and dark boots.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/14/2006, 5900 blk Arlington Blvd. Between 1100 and 1300 hrs on 12/12/06, someone entered a home by kicking in the front door and took various items including a laptop computer, a game console, a camera, and jewelry.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 12/13/2006, 1100 blk S. Hayes St. Between 2222 hrs and 2245 hrs on 12/13/06, someone entered a sales kiosk and took a large amount of cell phones.

ROBBERY BY FORCE, 12/13/2006, 4800 blk Columbia Pike. At approximately 2040 hrs on 12/13/06, a man leaving a business was approached by two men who asked for money. When the victim did not comply, the men assaulted him and took his cell phone. Suspect #1 is described as a white Hispanic male, 20 years old, with a mustache, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants. Suspect #2 is described as a white Hispanic male, 20 years old, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 12/13/2006, 1900 blk N. Edison St. Between 1600 hrs on 12/12/06 and 0545 hrs on 12/13/06, someone entered a home under construction by breaking a window and took a large amount of power tools.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/12/2006, 1200 blk N. Quinn St. Between 0700 hrs and 1815 hrs on 12/12/06, someone entered an apartment by forcing the door and took a laptop computer, a camera, a camcorder, and jewelry.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/12/2006, 3800 blk N. Ridgeview Rd. Between 1100 hrs and 1700 hrs on 12/12/06, someone entered a home by prying open a basement window and took a television.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/11/2006, 1200 blk N. Kensington St. Between 1200 hrs on 12/03/06 and 0938 hrs on 12/11/06, someone entered a basement storage room in an apartment building by damaging locks on the door and took several tools.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 12/10/2006, 3400 blk Wilson Blvd. Between 0145 hrs and 0210 hrs on 12/10/06, someone entered a business by breaking a window. It does not appear that anything was taken.

ARMED ROBBERY, 12/9/2006, 900 blk S. Army-Navy Dr. At approximately 1600 hrs on 12/09/06, an employee in a retail store was approached by a man who displayed a knife and demanded money. After receiving cash from the victim, the man forced the victim to undercharge him for several items at the register. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male in his 30’s, 6’3”, 300 lbs, last seen wearing a black and white jacket, navy blue pants, and black shoes.

ARMED ROBBERY, 12/9/2006, 5000 blk S. 8th Rd. At approximately 2336 hrs on 12/09/06, a man walking down the street was approached by two men who got out of a vehicle. One of the men had a handgun and the other had a knife. The men took cash, a cell phone, and keys from the victim before leaving in the vehicle with a female. The two suspects are described as white Hispanic males in their 20’s, 5’7” tall, wearing dark clothing. The woman is described as a white Hispanic female in her 30’s or 40’s. The vehicle involved is believed to be a black Toyota 4-Runner.

ARMED ROBBERY, 12/9/2006, 900 blk S. Buchanan St. At approximately 2330 hrs on 12/09/06, a man walking down the street was approached from behind by three men. The victim was pushed to the ground and one of the suspects held a knife to his back. After taking the victim’s wallet and cell phone, the suspects fled on foot. The victim sustained minor injuries to his arm and leg. The suspects are described as white Hispanic males in their 20’s.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 12/9/2006, 1900 blk N. Fort Myer Dr. Between 1945 hrs on 12/08/06 and 1330 hrs on 12/09/06, someone entered a restaurant by prying the lock on the door and took cash from a register.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/8/2006, 5000 blk S. 7th Rd. Between 1030 hrs and 1230 hrs on 12/08/06, someone entered an apartment by forcing a sliding glass door. It does not appear that anything was taken.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/8/2006, 1200 blk N. Quinn St. Between 0800 and 1554 on 12/08/06, someone entered an apartment through a window and took cash and a laptop computer.

ROBBERY BY FORCE, 12/7/2006, 1200 blk S. Columbus St. At approximately 0546 hrs on 12/07/06, a man walking down the street was approached from behind by two men. One of the men grabbed the victim and the other man took his wallet. The suspects then fled on foot. Both suspects are described as black males in their 20’s, about 5’5” tall, and slim.

PEEPING TOM, 12/7/2006, 800 blk N. Barton St. At approximately 2324 hrs on 12/07/06, a man was seen peeping into an apartment window. The man left before police arrived. The suspect is described as a male (unknown race), 5’9” tall, 180 lbs, wearing a dark, bulky jacket.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/7/2006, 1200 blk N. Rolfe St. Between 0630 hrs and 1730 hrs on 12/07/06, someone entered an apartment through an unlocked door and took cash and knives.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/6/2006, unit blk N. Oakland St. Between 1010 hrs and 1710 hrs on 12/06/06, someone entered a home by unknown means and took two laptop computers, two cameras, jewelry, and cash.

ARMED ROBBERY, 12/5/2006, 300 blk N. Thomas St. At approximately 2216 hrs on 12/05/06, a man talking on a phone outside of an apartment building was approached by three men. One of the men displayed a knife and demanded the victim’s wallet. After taking the victim’s cash, the three men fled the scene in a blue Nissan Xterra. All three suspects are described as white Hispanic males, 25 to 28 years old, and 5’3” to 5’5” tall. One of the men was wearing a black coat.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 12/5/2006, 1500 blk Wilson Blvd. Between 1700 hrs on 12/01/06 and 1200 hrs on 12/05/06, someone entered several storage closets in a business by various means including breaking through walls. Assorted office supplies were taken.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 12/4/2006, 4300 blk Columbia Pk. At approximately 2000 hrs on 12/04/06, a man walking down the street was approached from behind by another man who struck him in the head with an unknown object. The victim fought back against the suspect and was able to get away. He was treated at a local hospital for a laceration to the head. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male in his early 20’s, 5’8” to 5’10” tall, 180 lbs, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

ARMED ROBBERY, 12/4/2006, 1800 blk N. Wilson Blvd. At approximately 0520 hrs on 12/04/06, a man armed with a handgun walked into a gas station convenience store and demanded money from the clerk. The victim sustained a laceration to the head during the robbery and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The suspect fled on foot after taking cash from the register. He is described as a black male, 6’ tall, 175 lbs, wearing a black ski mask, a full-length black coat and gloves.

ARMED ROBBERY, 12/4/2006, 5800 blk Washington Blvd. At approximately 1418 hrs on 12/04/06, a man armed with a handgun approached the pharmacy in a drug store and demanded narcotics. After receiving some medications, the man fled on foot. Nobody was hurt during the robbery. The suspect is described as a white male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark track pants with a stripe.

ASSAULT OF JUVENILE, 12/4/2006, 200 blk N. Wayne St. At approximately 1725 hrs on 12/04/06, a 13-year-old girl walking outside of an apartment building was approached by two men who got out of a nearby vehicle. One of the men grabbed her from behind and the other grabbed her arms. The girl was able to break free from the men, run away, and call the police. Officers arrived and located the two suspects sitting in their vehicle. Arrested were Tereso De Jesus Bonilla, 41, and Jose Mario Flores, 34, both of Arlington. They were charged with Assault and Battery and held without bond.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 12/4/2006, 3600 blk S. Glebe Rd. Between 1930 hrs and 2319 hrs on 12/04/06, someone entered an unoccupied apartment in a building still under construction and removed a wide-screen TV from the wall. The burglary was interrupted by security guards and a man was seen running from the area.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 12/4/2006, 900 blk S. George Mason Dr. Between 0000 hrs and 0330 hrs on 12/04/06, someone gained entry to an office in a business and took a large amount of cigarettes.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/3/2006, 2400 blk S. Oakland St. Between 11/30/06 and 12/03/06, someone entered a home by unknown means and took jewelry from a locked room.

ROBBERY BY FORCE, 12/2/2006, 800 blk S. Greenbrier St. At approximately 1915 hrs on 12/02/06, a man walking through a parking lot was approached by four young men. The men demanded the victim’s money and physically assaulted him. The men fled with the victim’s wallet, cell phone, keys, jacket, and shirt. All four suspects are described as black males, 16 to 18 years old, wearing dark hooded sweatshirts. In addition, one of them was wearing a blue jacket.

ROBBERY BY FORCE, 12/2/2006, 5100 blk S. 8th Rd. At approximately 2305 hrs on 12/02/06, a woman walking through a parking lot was approached by a man. The man knocked her to the ground, took her book bag, and fled on foot. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male, approximately 30 years old, wearing a ¾ length black coat.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/2/2006, 1500 blk S. George Mason Dr. Between 1800 hrs on 11/25/06 and 0745 hrs on 12/02/06, someone broke into an apartment building storage unit and took laundry detergent.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/2/2006, 3000 blk S. Hill St. Between 0730 hrs on 12/01/06 and 0804 hrs on 12/02/06, someone entered a shed by removing the door from the hinges. It does not appear that anything was taken.

FELONY HIT & RUN, 12/1/2006, 5400 blk Arlington Blvd. At approximately 0932 hrs on 12/01/06, a vehicle eastbound on Rt. 50 lost control, crossed into the westbound lanes, struck a jersey wall and then struck a westbound vehicle. The driver left the scene of the accident. He was found by an officer standing outside of his damaged vehicle at a nearby location. Arrested was Wassem R. Moutraji, 28, of Washington, D.C. He was charged with Felony Hit and Run, DUI, Refusal to Take Breath Test, Driving with Revoked License, Obstruction of Justice and several minor charges and held without bond.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 12/1/2006, 1600 blk N. Wilson Blvd. Between 2045 hrs on 11/30/06 and 0900 hrs on 12/01/06, someone broke into two trailers used as school classrooms by forcing the doors. It does not appear that anything was taken.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 11/30/2006, 4300 blk Old Dominion Dr. At approximately 1333 hrs on 11/30/06, a woman returned to her apartment but could not enter because the interior chain lock was in place. She heard someone walking around inside the apartment. When the resident was able to access the apartment, no intruders were found. Whoever had been inside apparently left via the balcony. At this time it is unknown how the suspect gained entry to the apartment or if anything was taken.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 11/30/2006, 4200 blk Wilson Blvd. Between 2113 hrs on 11/29/06 and 0913 hrs on 11/30/06, someone entered a business by forcing a rear door and took cash from two registers.

ARMED ROBBERY / MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 11/27/2006, 3200 blk Columbia Pike. At approximately 1953 hrs on 11/27/06, a man with a gun entered a store and demanded money. During the robbery, the suspect shot one 50-year-old man in the upper body. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to survive. The suspect fled with undisclosed items. He is described as a black male, 6’0” to 6’2” tall, last seen wearing a mask, a black knit cap, a black coat and light-colored pants.

PEEPING TOM, 11/27/2006, 800 blk N. Abingdon St. At approximately 2238 hrs on 11/27/06, residents of a home saw a man peering into their basement window. The suspect left before the arrival of police. He is described as a light-skinned male, 6’ tall, 180 lbs, with dark hair, last seen wearing a dark green or blue sweatshirt with a hat or hood.

FELONY DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY, 11/27/2006, 2700 blk N. Marcey Rd. At approximately 1145 hrs on 11/27/06, an employee of the Northern Virginia Park Authority discovered three men cutting down a tree in Potomac Overlook Regional Park. Police responded and discovered that two Royal Paulownia trees (also known as Princess trees or Empress trees) had been cut down by the men. This type of tree is rare and a single tree’s lumber can be sold for $2,500 to $30,000. Woodrow Fincham, Jr., 41, of Boston, VA, was arrested and charged with felony Destruction of Property. He was held on $7,500 bond. The other two men had been hired for the day by Fincham and were not charged.

FELONY HIT AND RUN, 11/26/2006, 900 blk S. Glebe Rd. At approximately 0211 hrs on 11/26/06, a vehicle struck a pedestrian and left the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police located several witnesses and the investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY BY FORCE, 11/25/2006, 3600 blk S. 24th Rd. At approximately 2015 hrs on 11/25/06, a man riding a bicycle was approached by three men. The men pulled the victim off of his bike, took his wallet, and fled on foot. Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 6’ tall, wearing a black shirt, black pants, and a black mask. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 11/24/2006, 800 blk S. Frederick St. At approximately 0200 hrs on 11/24/06, two men at a party had a disagreement. One of the men struck the other in the head with a beer bottle, causing a serious laceration. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police located the suspect at his home in Fairfax. Remberto Guzman, 28, was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding. He was also served with outstanding warrants for Assault and Harassing Phone Calls. Mr. Guzman was held without bond.

FELONY HIT AND RUN, 11/24/2006, 1200 blk Rt. Northbound 110 At approximately 1437 hrs on 11/24/06, a vehicle driving southbound in the northbound lanes of Rt. 110 caused two northbound vehicles to collide. The man driving the vehicle stopped to apologize then left the scene without providing any information about himself. An investigation led to the arrest of John B. Ficker, 61, of Arlington. He was charged with felony Hit and Run and released on his own recognizance.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 11/24/2006, 2100 blk S. Monroe St. Between 1100 hrs on 11/18/06 and 1138 hrs on 11/24/06, someone entered a vacant home and took several chandeliers.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 11/23/2006, 500 blk N. Jefferson St. Between 1130 hrs and 1930 hrs on 11/23/06, someone entered a home by breaking a basement window and took two paint cans full of change.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 11/22/2006, 2100 blk N. Quinn St. Between 0930 hrs and 1300 hrs on 11/22/06, someone entered a home by breaking a basement bathroom window and took a laptop computer, a camera, and jewelry.

ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 11/22/2006, 1400 blk N. Highland St. At approximately 0932 hrs on 11/22/06, someone attempted to enter a home by breaking a window pane in the rear door. One of the residents heard the glass break and went to the door, apparently scaring off the burglar.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 11/21/2006, 1300 blk N. Quincy St. Between 1500 hrs on 11/20/06 and 0700 hrs on 11/21/06, someone entered a construction site and took tools from a secured locker.

BANK ROBBERY, 11/20/2006, 4200 blk Wilson Blvd. At approximately 1242 hrs on 11/20/06, a man passed a note to a bank teller demanding money. He received an undisclosed amount of money and left the bank. The suspect is described as a black male in his 20’s, 6’ tall, medium build, wearing a black, puffy winter coat, black pants, and a black hat.

ARMED ROBBERY, 11/20/2006, 1300 blk S. Quincy St. At approximately 0230 hrs on 11/19/06, a 17-year-old male was walking on the street when he was surrounded by a large group of men. One of the men was holding a hammer. The group assaulted the juvenile and took his sweatshirt. The victim suffered minor facial injuries. The suspects are only described as black males in their 20’s.

FELONY HIT AND RUN, 11/20/2006, 2600 blk S. Glebe Rd. At approximately 1215 hrs on 11/20/06, a driver struck three vehicles and left the scene on foot. A witness followed the driver and directed police to his location a few blocks away. Arrested was Carlos Alberto Hernandez Fuentes, 40, of Lorton. He was charged with felony Hit and Run, DWI, and Refusal to Take a Breath Test.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 11/20/2006, 6000 blk N. Yorktown Blvd. Between 0900 and 1200 hrs on 11/20/06, someone entered a home by forcing a rear sliding glass door and took a computer, a laptop computer, a backpack, and jewelry.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 11/20/2006, 5200 blk N. Old Dominion Dr. Between 0845 and 1735 hrs on 11/20/06, someone entered a home by breaking a kitchen window and took jewelry.

ARMED ROBBERY, 11/19/2006, 4500 blk Columbia Pk. At approximately 0130 hrs on 11/19/06, a woman walking down the street was grabbed by two men, one of whom displayed a knife. The men dragged her into a nearby bus shelter and physically assaulted her. They took cash from the victim’s purse and then left on foot. Suspect #1 is described as a black male, approximately 30 years old, 6’ tall, wearing a black sweater. Suspect #2 is described as a thin black male.

ARMED ROBBERY, 11/19/2006, 2300 block of S. Jefferson Davis Highway. At approximately 2127 hrs on 11/19/06, officers responded to the Exxon Station for a report of a robbery in progress. Upon arrival they met with the cashier who said when she stepped out of the kiosk to empty some trash a man approached her and pulled out a handgun. The cashier ran away and yelled to patrons to call police. Witnesses say the suspect went inside the kiosk, then ran out with several cartons of cigarettes and jumped in the passenger side of a black 4-door sedan waiting on Jefferson Davis Highway. Approximately 10 cartons of Newport cigarettes were taken.

ROBBERY, 11/19/2006, 1200 Block S. Quincy St. At approximately 0007 hrs on 11/19/06, officers responded for a report of a fight in progress. When they arrived they found a 17 year old victim who said a group of 10 to 15 unknown males had attacked him and taken his sneakers. The victim was treated on the scene for numerous facial injuries.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 11/17/2006, 2700 Bock of S. Oakland St. Between 1830 on 11/16/06 and 0800 on 11/17/06, someone entered a business and took a small safe, cash and checks.

BURGLARY, 11/17/2006, 3900 Block of S. 8th St. Between 1700 hrs on 11/16/06 and 1100 hrs on 11/17/06, someone into a home under construction and stole a ceramic tile cutting machine.

BURGLARY, 11/17/2006, 2400 Block of S. Oakland St. Between 0800 and 1900 hrs on 11/17/06, someone entered a home through an unlocked door and took multiple pieces of jewelry.

ASSAULT & BATTERY, 11/17/2006, 4800 Block of S. Columbia Pike. At approximately 0904 hrs on 11/17/06, a 37 year old man standing outside a store was approached by another man who asked him for money. When the victim said he didn’t have any money the suspect punched him in the back of the head and fled on foot. 36 year old Selvi Yovani Rivera was arrested and charged with assault and battery and obstruction of justice.

BANK ROBBERY, 11/17/2006, 5300 Block of N. Lee Highway. Between 1600 and 1616 hrs on 11/17/06, a suspect robbed the United Bank, taking an undisclosed amount of money. After loitering in the bank for several minutes, the suspect followed a bank employee through a secure door, announced a robbery and pulled out a large knife. He took an undisclosed amount of money from several teller drawers and then fled the bank through a side door. The suspect is described as an Asian man, in his 40’s, 5’5” – 5’7” tall, 160 – 170 lbs. Detectives believe this robbery is likely related to several recent bank robberies in Fairfax County.

CONTRIBUTING TO THE DELINQUENCY OF A MINOR, 11/15/2006, 2900 blk S. 16th St. At approximately 1721 hrs on 11/15/06, officers responded for a report of two people engaged in sexual activity in a car. After the couple was located, it was determined that the female was a 16-year-old student in the Arlington Public Schools system and the male was an adult security guard at Washington & Lee High School. Arrested was Ricardo Ramon Reynoso, 35, of Arlington. He was charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and held without bond. Additional charges may follow.

PEEPING TOM, 11/14/2006, 3800 blk N. 7th St. Residents of an apartment report that on four occasions between 11/06/06 and 11/14/06 they have discovered the same man looking into their bedroom window. The suspect is described as a light-skinned white, Hispanic male in his 20’s, 5’2” tall, with dark hair, last seen wearing khaki pants and a tan jacket.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 11/14/2006, 2800 blk N. Glebe Rd. At approximately 1700 hrs on 11/14/06, two suspicious persons were seen entering rooms at a college dormitory. Campus security located and detained a 16-year-old female from Washington, D.C. and found her to be in possession of property from one of the dorm rooms. The juvenile was interviewed by police and released to a family member. Petitions are pending.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 11/14/2006, 700 blk S. Wayne St. Between 1000 hrs and 2010 hrs on 11/14/06, someone broke into a home by breaking a basement window and took cash and personal items.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 11/14/2006, 2000 blk S. Lowell St. Between 0900 hrs and 1300 hrs on 11/14/06, someone entered a home through a kitchen window and took a laptop computer.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 11/14/2006, north Arlington. Between 1700 hrs on 11/13/06 and 0900 hrs on 11/14/06, someone damaged five vehicles in the Donaldson Run neighborhood, mostly by smashing windows.

FELONY HIT AND RUN, 11/12/2006, 600 blk N. Glebe Rd. At approximately 2033 hrs on 11/12/06, a driver turning onto northbound N. Glebe Rd. struck two pedestrians in the crosswalk then fled the scene. Both victims were transported to a local hospital with injuries and released later that night. A witness observed the license plate of the suspect vehicle and officers were able to locate the driver. Mustapha Kassemi, 43, of Falls Church, was arrested and charged with two counts of Felony Hit and Run. He was released on his own recognizance.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 11/11/2006, 4400 blk N. Pershing Dr. At approximately 0219 hrs on 11/11/04, a man threw a beer bottle at another man who was standing outside of an apartment building. The suspect then fled on foot. The victim was struck in the head by the beer bottle and suffered lacerations. The suspect is described as a white, Hispanic male in his 20’s, 5’4” tall, 150 lbs, with medium-length black hair, wearing blue jeans and a grey short-sleeved shirt.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 11/11/2006, 1800 blk N. Fort Myer Dr. At approximately 2120 hrs on 11/11/06, two men were seen entering a construction site and going inside a building on the site. Police officers surrounded the construction site and sent a K-9 officer in to search the building. The two men fled the building and were taken into custody by an officer. Arrested were Joaquin Hernandez-Gutierrez, 30, of Riverdale, Maryland, and Oscar Alex Flores-Megia, 18, of Hyattsville, Maryland. They were each charged with Burglary, Possession of Burglarious Tools, and Attempted Grand Larceny and held without bond.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 11/9/2006, 1100 blk S. Hayes St. Between 1700 hrs on 11/07/06 and 1838 hrs on 11/09/06 someone broke into a business’ storage unit. It is unknown at this time if anything was taken.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 11/9/2006, 3400 blk Wilson Blvd. Between 1800 hrs on 11/08/06 and 1400 hrs on 11/09/06, someone entered a construction site and took a power washer which was chained to other equipment.

GRAND LARCENY, 11/9/2006, 2900 blk S. 16th St. Between approximately 2200 hrs on 11/08/06 and 0600 hrs on 11/09/06, someone removed a planted tree from the property of a community center. The tree had been donated by a private party.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 11/8/2006, 5000 blk Columbia Pike. Between 2200 hrs on 11/07/06 and 0930 hrs on 11/08/06, someone knocked out part of the rear wall of a business. It’s possible that entry was made but it does not appear at this time that anything was taken.

ARMED ROBBERY, 11/8/2006, 5600 blk S. 7th Rd. At approximately 0446 hrs on 11/08/06, a man was walking when he was pushed to the ground by four black males in their 20’s. One of the suspects produced a handgun and demanded money. After receiving cash, the suspects fled on foot.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 11/7/2006, 1900 blk N. Lynn St. Between the evening of 11/06/06 and the morning of 11/07/06, someone entered a construction site and took a welding machine which was chained to a column.

LARCENY (SERIES), 11/7/2006, 3900 blk Wilson Blvd. Between 1509 hrs and 1531 hrs on 11/07/06, someone broke into five lockers at a gym and took clothing, cash, credit cards, keys, and various forms of identification.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY, 11/7/2006, 5800 blk N. Washington Blvd. At approximately 2000 hrs on 11/07/06, a man at a polling station damaged a voting machine with a hammer. Anthony Sabo, 52, of Arlington, was arrested. He was charged with Destruction of Property and held on $5,000 bond.

ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 11/5/2006, 2000 blk S. 4th St. Between 1700 hrs on 11/03/06 and 1500 hrs on 11/05/06, someone damaged and partially removed a screen from an apartment window but did not gain entry to the home.

ROBBERY BY FORCE, 11/4/2006, 1400 blk S. 28th St. At approximately 2010 hrs on 11/04/06, a juvenile male was walking when he was approached by three men. The suspects assaulted the boy, took his wallet and sweater, and fled on foot. All three suspects are black males in their 20’s. Suspect #1 is described as 6’2” tall, 160 lbs, wearing a black jacket and blue pants. Suspect #2 is described as 6’2” tall, 160 lbs, wearing a blue jacket and black pants. Suspect #3 is described as 6’3” tall, 170 lbs, wearing a black coat and black pants.

BANK ROBBERY (ARMED), 11/2/2006, 2300 blk S. 9th St. At approximately 0950 hrs on 11/02/06, a bank was robbed by a man armed with a handgun. The man fled with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is described as a black male, 5’10” tall, wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt, dark pants, and a black ski mask or hood.

BANK ROBBERY, 11/2/2006, 1400 blk S. Eads St. At approximately 1220 hrs on 11/02/06, a man walked into a bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. The man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. A police officer located and detained the suspect nearby. Arrested was Nathan Jemere, 32, of Arlington. He was charged with Robbery and held without bond.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 11/2/2006, 2400 blk S. Kenmore St. Between 0640 hrs and 1200 hrs on 11/02/06, someone entered a home through an unsecured door and took a large amount of change.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 11/1/2006, 2700 blk N. Washington Blvd. Between 0800 hrs and 2240 hrs on 11/01/06, someone entered an apartment through a window and took a bed and a floor lamp.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY BY FORCE, 11/1/2006, 1800 blk N. Quinn St. At approximately 1915 hrs on 11/01/06, a woman who had just parked her vehicle was approached by a man. The man demanded the woman’s money and she screamed for help. The man left on foot without taking anything. The suspect is described as a black male in his 40’s, 6’1” tall, 180 lbs, last seen wearing a black sport coat and blue jeans.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY/LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 10/31/2006, 1700 blk S. 26th St. Between 1800 hrs on 10/30/06 and 0559 hrs on 10/31/06, someone smashed windows out on four vehicles. An Ipod was stolen from one of the vehicles.

ARMED ROBBERY, 10/31/2006, 1100 blk S. Hayes St. At approximately 1328 hrs on 10/31/06, an armored car guard delivering cash to a bank was confronted by a man with a gun. The guard ran back to the armored car as the suspect fired one shot. Nobody was injured during the robbery. The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect is described as a black male (medium complexion), 35 to 40 years old, 5’11” tall, 200 lbs, last seen wearing a light blue denim shirt, jeans, and a black hat. There was a second man in the area who may have been working with the suspect. The second man is described as a black male (medium complexion), 30 to 35 years old, 5’8” tall,180 lbs, last seen wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and a black baseball cap.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/30/2006, 1700 blk N. Veitch St. Between 1300 hrs and 1525 hrs on 10/30/06, someone entered an apartment by forcing the door. Many items were disturbed but it does not appear that anything was taken.

SEXUAL BATTERY/ATTEMPTED ROBBERY BY FORCE, 10/30/2006, 1500 blk N. Adams St. At approximately 0120 hrs on 10/29/06, a woman walking home from a costume party was approached from behind and groped by a man. The suspect fled when the woman screamed but a few minutes later he approached the victim a second time and tried to steal her purse. The victim fought off the suspect and he once again fled. The suspect was apprehended a short time later after stealing a purse from another woman (see next item, Robbery in 1400 blk N. Scott St., for more details).

ROBBERY BY FORCE, 10/29/2006, 1400 blk N. Scott St. After groping and unsuccessfully attempting to rob a woman (see prior item in 1500 blk N. Adams St.), the suspect approached another woman at approximately 0150 hrs on 10/29/06. He took her purse and fled on foot. An officer stopped the suspect nearby and found him to be in possession of the victim’s purse. Arrested was Raul Eduardo Martinez-Gonzalez, 27, of Arlington. He was charged with Robbery in this case as well as Attempted Robbery and Sexual Battery of the earlier victim. Mr. Martinez-Gonzalez was held without bond.

ROBBERY BY FORCE, 10/29/2006, 3800 blk Columbia Pike. At approximately 1900 hrs on 10/29/06, a man walking home was grabbed from behind by two men. They knocked him to the ground and took his wallet before fleeing on foot. Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 16 years old, 6’ tall, 165 lbs, wearing a black zippered jacket with vertical stripes, jeans and black tennis shoes. Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 6’ tall, 165 lbs.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY/SEXUAL BATTERY, 10/29/2006, 1100 blk Arlington Blvd. At approximately 0406 hrs on 10/29/06, a woman awoke to find a man she didn’t know standing by her bed. The man was only wearing underwear and eventually took the underwear off as he groped the female victim. The victim was able to overpower the suspect and throw him out of the apartment. Police arrived and arrested Ryan Sean Everist, 21, of Arlington, in the hallway. He was charged with Burglary and Sexual Battery and held on $3,500 bond.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/29/2006, 2500 blk N. 20th Rd. Between 2230 hrs on 10/28/06 and 0315 hrs on 10/29/06, someone entered an apartment through a window and took cigarettes, a lighter, and a calculator.

ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/29/2006, 2200 blk S. 27th St. At approximately 0150 hrs on 10/29/06, three women arrived home and were approached by a man outside of their apartment building. The women went inside but the man kept knocking on their door. When the women wouldn’t answer the door, the suspect took the screen off of a bedroom window and attempted to enter the apartment that way before leaving. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, 25 to 30 years old, 5’7” tall, 145 lbs, wearing blue jeans and a white and blue striped button-up shirt.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 10/28/2006, 5100 blk Lee Highway. At approximately 0109 hrs on 10/28/06, a man coming out of a restaurant was attacked by several people. He was hit in the head with a bat and stabbed in the torso before the attackers fled. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police located two of the suspects nearby. They were questioned by detectives, but charges have not been filed at this time.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING/ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY, 10/28/2006, 1100 blk N. Quincy St. At approximately 2250 hrs on 10/28/06, two men and a male juvenile were walking down the street. Two suspects approached from behind and attacked the group. One of the adult victims was punched in the head and knocked to the ground. The other adult and the juvenile were both stabbed in the torso. They were both transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. During the assault, the suspects demanded money but they did not receive any and fled in a dark green car. Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 20 to 25 years old, 6’1” to 6’3” tall, wearing a black shirt and gray workpants. Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 20 to 25 years old, 6’1” to 6’3” tall, wearing a black shirt and black pants.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/27/2006, 900 blk N. Ivy St. At approximately 1019 hrs on 10/27/06, someone entered a house through a window and took electronic equipment including two laptop computers, several digital cameras and an Ipod.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/24/2006, 5100 blk N. 37th St. Between 1800 hrs on 10/22/06 and 1730 hrs on 10/24/06, someone entered a locked vacant home by unknown means and took numerous boxes of home construction items including floor tiles and bathroom fixtures.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/24/2006, 4000 blk S. Four Mile Run Dr. Between 1816 hrs on 10/23/06 and 0620 hrs on 10/24/06, someone entered an unlocked shed and took tools, aluminum wheels and other car parts.

ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY/RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/24/2006, 1000 blk S. Frederick St. At approximately 2350 hrs on 10/24/06, a man was standing outside of an apartment window having a conversation with a friend inside the apartment. He was approached from behind by two men, one of whom displayed a handgun. The victim fled and the friend inside the apartment shut the window and fled into the hallways of the apartment building. The suspects apparently broke the window and took a purse from the apartment before leaving. Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 5’10” to 6’ tall, 150 to 170 lbs, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. Suspect #2 is described as an unknown race male, approximately 22 years old, 5’9” tall, 145 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt.

ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/23/2006, 1800 blk N. Key Blvd. Between 0700 hrs on 10/21/06 and 0900 hrs on 10/23/06, someone damaged an apartment door in an apparent attempt to break in.

PEEPING TOM, 10/23/2006, 3900 blk N. 5th St. At approximately 0559 hrs on 10/23/06, a woman observed a man looking into her kitchen through a back door. He also looked into the home through a kitchen window and a bedroom window. Officers responded and located the suspect nearby. Arrested was Lucio Galvez, 40, of Sterling. He was charged with Peeping and given a $3,500 unsecured bond.

ROBBERY BY FORCE, 10/23/2006, 5100 blk S. 7th Rd. At approximately 2310 hrs on 10/23/06, a woman walking down the street was approached from behind by an unknown man. The man grabbed the woman’s purse and fled the scene in a nearby car. The suspect is described as a black male, 24 to 25 years old, 5’9” tall, 170 lbs, wearing blue jeans and a white sweater with a horizontal black stripe.

ARSON/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY, 10/22/2006, 4100 blk S. Four Mile Run Dr. Between 1830 hrs on 10/21/06 and 0817 hrs on 10/22/06 someone burned an American flag that was being displayed on a pole and damaged a spotlight at the base of the flag pole.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 10/21/2006, 700-800 blk S. Arlington Mill Dr. Between the evening of 10/20/06 and the morning of 10/21/06, someone damaged the paint on 19 vehicles with an unknown object.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/21/2006, 4400 blk N. 35th St. Between 1800 hrs on 10/19/06 and 1300 hrs on 10/21/06, someone entered a house under construction and took a box of wooden flooring.

GRAND LARCENY FROM AUTO, 10/20/2006, 3900 blk N. Upland St. At approximately 0310 hrs on 10/20/06, officers responded for a report of suspects tampering with a vehicle. The suspects stole items from the vehicle and left the scene in their own car. An officer stopped the suspect vehicle nearby. The stolen items, including a police recruit’s bullet-proof vest, were recovered and three men from Mclean were arrested. Clyde Jason Smith, 24; Christopher Corey Combs, 23; and Jason Allen Smith, 22, were each charged with Grand Larceny and Possession of Burglarious Tools and held on $10,000 bond.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 10/20/2006, 2100-2300 blk S. Dinwiddie St. Between the evening of 10/19/06 and the morning of 10/20/06, someone shattered windows on four vehicles.

ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/20/2006, 1800 blk N. Key Blvd. Between 0815 hrs and 1740 hrs on 10/20/06, someone damaged the locks on two apartment doors in apparent attempts to break in.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 10/20/2006, 1400 blk S. 28th St. At approximately 1806 hrs on 10/20/06, a man was followed into his apartment building by three other men. One of the men produced a handgun. All three suspects assaulted the victim before fleeing on foot. The victim suffered a laceration to the head and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The three suspects are described as black males wearing camouflage pants and jackets.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/20/2006, 4100 blk S. Four Mile Run Dr. Between 1930 hrs and 2100 hrs on 10/19/06, someone entered a concession stand through a window. It is unknown if anything was taken.

SEXUAL BATTERY, 10/19/2006, 4800 blk Columbia Pike. At approximately 2213 hrs on 10/19/06, a woman in a business was approached by an unknown man who fondled her then walked away. Officers responded and located the suspect. Javier Toledo, 29, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with Drunk In Public. Additional charges may follow.

ROBBERY BY FORCE, 10/18/2006, 300 blk N. Glebe Rd. At approximately 2210 hrs on 10/18/06, a woman walking down the street was pushed down by two men. The men took her purse and her jacket and fled on foot. Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 6’2” tall, wearing a white sweater and a baseball cap. Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 6’2” tall, wearing a dark long-sleeved shirt, and a baseball cap.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/17/2006, 1500 blk of S. Quincy St. Between 0830 and 1850 hrs on 10/17/06, someone pried open the rear sliding door and rummaged through the home. Only some change from a small jar appeared to be missing.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/17/2006, 1200 blk S. Hayes St. At approximately 0145 hrs on 10/17/06, a mall security guard discovered a man burglarizing a sales kiosk. The suspect fled on foot with a number of cell phones. He is described as a black male, 5’9” tall, 150 lbs, last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue pants, and blue shoes.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/16/2006, 5500 blk Columbia Pike. Between 2005 hrs and 2115 hrs on 10/16/05, someone broke into an apartment building’s maintenance office and took cash and other items.

FELONY ELUDING, 10/16/2006, I-66 eastbound at Lee Highway/Spout Run. At approximately 1431 hrs on 10/16/06, Rockville City Police, Montgomery County Police and Virginia State Police pursued a vehicle into Arlington on eastbound I-66. A U.S. Park Police helicopter was also assisting. The driver was known to have an outstanding warrant for Burglary in Rockville. An Arlington County officer ahead of the pursuit deployed spiked strips which flattened several of the tires on the fleeing vehicle. In a continuing effort to escape, the suspect vehicle struck another vehicle on the highway and then got off at the Lee Highway exit near Spout Run Parkway. Arlington Police joined the other jurisdictions as they followed the vehicle which could now only drive at a very low speed. The vehicle was stopped in the 4200 block of Old Dominion Drive and the suspect was taken into custody without incident. Ralph David Saah, 43, of Rockville, Maryland, was arrested and charged by the Arlington Police with Felony Eluding. Virginia State Police charged him with Hit and Run and Driving While Revoked. Mr. Saah was held without bond.

ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY, 10/16/2006, 3600 blk Columbia Pike. At approximately 0300 hrs on 10/16/06, two suspects dressed in dark clothing and wearing ski-masks entered a convenience store. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun. The suspects unsuccessfully attempted to rob the store before fleeing. During the robbery attempt, a store clerk was assaulted but was not seriously injured.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/15/2006, 5500 blk N. 16th St. Between 1700 hrs on 10/10/06 and 1330 hrs on 10/15/06, someone entered a house, possibly through a window, and took cash from a locked office.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/15/2006, 1800 blk S. Pollard St. Between 0930 hrs and 1330 hrs on 10/15/06, someone entered a home through a window and took a laptop computer, a camera, and other electronic equipment.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/14/2006, 2800 blk Clarendon Boulevard. At approximately 0220 hrs on 10/14/06, someone entered a store by unknown means and took cash from the register.

SEXUAL ASSAULT, 10/14/2006, westbound I-66. At approximately 0315 hrs on 10/15/06, a woman accepted a ride from strangers in Washington, D.C. While the vehicle was westbound on I-66, one of the occupants sexually assaulted the woman. The investigation is ongoing.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/13/2006, 200 blk N. Chain Bridge Rd. Between 1200 hrs on 10/09/06 and 1030 hrs on 10/13/06, someone broke into a construction trailer and took electronic surveillance equipment.

RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT, 10/13/2006, 5400 blk S. 8th St. At approximately 1909 hrs on 10/13/06, a man walking by a home saw two young girls standing by a 2nd floor window. One of the girls fell out of the window but the man was able to catch her and prevent any injury. Police responded and discovered that the 2-year-old who fell and the 1-year-old still locked in the home had been left alone for several hours. The father of the children eventually returned home and was arrested. He was charged with two felony counts of Reckless Endangerment and held on $10,000 bond. His name is being withheld to avoid identifying the two victims.

SEXUAL ASSAULT, 10/12/2006, 3300 Blk of N. Dinwiddie St. Between 2145 and 2200 hrs on 10/12/06, a 34 year old woman was attacked by a male subject. The victim had just gotten off a Metro bus and was walking home when the suspect, who had also exited the bus, came up from behind, forced her to the ground, and fondled her. After the victim screamed and struggled with the man, he got up and walked away. Because she was talking on her cell phone when the assault began, the victim was only able to provide a general description of her attacker: young black male, approximately 6’ tall, average build, wearing dark clothing and possibly a hat.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/12/2006, 4200 blk S. Four Mile Run Dr. At approximately 1630 hrs on 10/12/06, officers responded for a report of a burglary in progress. They discovered that two male juveniles had broken into an apartment and were in the act of stealing numerous items. The two suspects, a 17-year-old from Alexandria and a 16-year-old from Arlington, were apprehended inside the apartment. Petitions have been filed against the juveniles for Burglary, Attempted Grand Larceny, and Possession of Burglarious Tools. They are being held in juvenile detention.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/12/2006, 2000 blk Columbia Pike. Between 0830 hrs and 1830 hrs on 10/12/06, someone entered an apartment by unknown means and rummaged through items. It appears that nothing was taken.

ROBBERY BY FORCE, 10/12/2006, 2800 blk S. Fort Scott Dr. At approximately 0645 hrs on 10/12/06, a woman was sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle with the door open. A man approached and prevented the woman from closing the door. After a brief struggle, the suspect fled with the victim’s purse. The suspect is described as a black male, 5’8” to 5’10” tall, 160 to 170 lbs, wearing a black pants and a black shirt with white writing.

ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/12/2006, 2400 blk S. Shirlington Rd. At approximately 0138 hrs on 10/12/06, a man was seen attempting to break into a business. Officers responded and located the suspect hiding in the parking lot. Stanley Richardson, Jr. (aka Stanley Johnson), 37, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with Burglary. He was held without bond.

SHOOTING FROM A VEHICLE, 10/11/2006, 1200 blk S. Frederick St. At approximately 0813 hrs on 10/11/06, police responded for a report of shots being fired from a vehicle. Responding officers stopped the suspect vehicle nearby and detained the occupants, including 19-year-old Enes Marko Kimmel, of Arlington, and a 17-year-old boy. It was determined that Kimmel had repeatedly fired paintballs at three juvenile males who were walking to school. Kimmel was arrested, charged with Shooting from a Vehicle, and held on $7,500 bond. A petition is pending for the 17-year-old.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/10/2006, 1400 blk N. Monroe St. Between 1500 hrs on 10/09/06 and 0800 hrs on 10/10/06, someone entered a house under construction and took a furnace.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/10/2006, 2800 blk N. Lexington St. At approximately 1145 hrs on 10/10/06, a man entered a home by dislodging a window and rummaged through items in the house. A resident of the home observed the suspect and fled to another residence. When police arrived, the suspect was gone. The suspect is described as a medium-complected male, stocky, with braided hair pulled back into a short ponytail, last seen wearing a long-sleeved black shirt, black pants and a white elastic band on his ponytail.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/10/2006, 3700 blk N. 7th St. Between 0900 hrs and 2000 hrs on 10/10/06, someone entered an apartment through a window and took a laptop computer and jewelry.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/9/2006, 100 blk S. Courthouse Rd. Between 1500 hrs on 10/06/06 and 0630 hrs on 10/09/06, someone entered a vacant apartment by breaking a window and took numerous tools.

PEEPING TOM, 10/8/2006, 2700 blk S. Veitch St. At approximately 1630 hrs on 10/08/06, a man getting out of the shower saw a shadow outside of his apartment window. The victim dressed then looked out of the window and saw a man emerging from the bushes outside of the window and walking away. The suspect is described as a white male, 6’2” tall, with black hair combed to the back, dressed in a blue nylon jogging suit.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/9/2006, 1800 blk N. Quinn St. Between 1900 hrs on 10/08/06 and 0830 hrs on 10/09/06, someone entered an apartment leasing office by forcing a set of double doors. It does not appear that anything was taken.

ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/9/2006, 1700 blk Army Navy Dr. At approximately 0400 hrs on 10/09/06, someone attempted to enter a home by breaking a pane of glass on a door. When the glass was broken a female resident screamed, apparently scaring off the suspect.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/8/2006, 2300 blk N. 11th St. At approximately 2000 hrs on 10/08/06, an officer observed a man on a construction site attempting to steal a large quantity of copper wire. The suspect saw the police officer and fled on foot. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned male, 6’ tall, 170 lbs, with brown hair, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 10/8/2006, 300 blk N. Thomas St. At approximately 0303 hrs on 10/08/06, two male roommates got into a fight. During the struggle one of the roommates stabbed the other in the upper body with a broken beer bottle. The suspect fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His current condition is not known. Detectives continue to investigate and will determine what charges will be filed against the suspect.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 10/8/2006, 3000 blk Columbia Pike. At approximately 0150 hrs on 10/08/06, a man standing outside of a convenience store was approached by an unknown man. The stranger produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the upper body before fleeing. The victim was transported to a local hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, 25 to 30 years old, 5’6” tall, 120 lbs, with short brown hair, last seen wearing dark pants, a white shirt and a black jacket.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/7/2006, 800 blk S. Glebe Rd. Between 1600 hrs on 10/01/06 and 1530 hrs on 10/07/06, someone entered an unsecured garage and took a bicycle and numerous tools.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/7/2006, 2900 blk N. 7th St. Between 0840 hrs and 1015 hrs on 10/07/06, someone entered a home by breaking a basement window and took jewelry.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 10/6/2006, 1300 blk Wilson Boulevard. Between 1930 hrs on 10/05/06 and 0500 hrs on 10/06/06, someone broke into three vehicles and took loose change.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/6/2006, 4700 blk N. 38th St. Between 0930 hrs and 1830 hrs on 10/06/06, someone entered a home by breaking a basement window and took a large amount of jewelry.

ARMED ROBBERY, 10/6/2006, 1400 blk S. 28th St. At approximately 1647 hrs on 10/06/06, a man walking through a parking lot was approached by two unknown men. One of the men held a handgun against the victim and the second man took the victim’s wallet, cell phone, and keys. The two suspects fled in a brown sedan. Suspect #1 (armed with the handgun) is described as a black male, 25 to 30 years old, 5’9” tall, thin, last seen wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt. Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 6’2” tall, 230 lbs (stocky), last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/5/2006, 4300 blk N. Carlin Springs Rd. Between 1500 hrs on 10/05/06 and 1500 hrs on 10/09/06, someone broke into a storage unit by prying a hinge off the door and took various tools. The tools were recovered nearby.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/5/2006, 4400 blk N. 4th Rd. Between 2230 hrs on 10/03/06 and 2000 hrs on 10/05/06, someone entered an apartment through a window and took a laptop computer.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/5/2006, 900 blk S. Veitch St. Between 0900 hrs and 1645 hrs on 10/05/06, someone entered a home, probably through an unsecured rear door, and took several items including electronic equipment and cash.

FELONY HIT AND RUN, 10/5/2006, 4800 blk Arlington Boulevard. At approximately 2345 hrs on 10/05/06, officers responded for an unconscious man in the roadway. The man was found to have broken bones and facial lacerations. It was determined that the victim was apparently trying to cross the road and was struck by a vehicle which left the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and the investigation is ongoing.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 10/4/2006, 1000 blk N. Garfield St. At approximately 0100 hrs on 10/04/06, an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old male juvenile became involved in a dispute while playing an online video game. The two agreed to meet in person after the game to continue the argument. The man drove to meet the juvenile and they became involved in a physical altercation. During the fight, the juvenile produced a knife and stabbed the man in the chest and arm. The man was transported to a local hospital and treated for his injuries. The juvenile was arrested for Malicious Wounding and is being held in the Northern Virginia Juvenile Detention Home.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/3/2006, 2000 blk N. 15th St. Between 1300 hrs on 10/02/06 and 0700 hrs on 10/03/06, someone entered a business suite and took several laptop computers.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/3/2006, 1400 blk S. Randolph St. Between 0830 hrs and 1800 hrs on 10/03/06, someone entered a home by prying open a side door and took several items including a digital camera, an Ipod and cash.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/3/2006, 4300 blk N. Pershing Dr. Between 0830 hrs and 1400 hrs on 10/03/06, someone removed a screen from an apartment window, reached into the apartment, and took several items including rechargeable batteries and a battery charger.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 10/3/2006, 4500 blk S. 31st St. At approximately 2147 hrs on 10/03/06, officers responded for a report of a fight. A 30-year-old male victim was found in a nearby apartment suffering from lacerations to the torso and arm. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Witnesses described the suspect who stabbed the victim as a white Hispanic male, approximately 25 years old, 5’10”, thin build, last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants.

PEEPING TOM, 10/2/2006, 1700 blk N. Rhodes St. At approximately 2245 hrs on 10/02/06, a man was seen hiding in the bushes outside of a woman’s bedroom window. He is described as a white Hispanic male dressed all in black.

ROBBERY BY FORCE, 10/3/2006, 1500 blk Lee Highway. At approximately 0105 hrs on 10/03/06, two men got out of a white and gray van and chased down a male victim. They assaulted him and took his backpack before leaving in the van. Suspect #1 is described as a medium-complected black male, 20 years old, 5’11” tall, 150 lbs, with a beard, last seen wearing black pants and a black shirt. Suspect #2 is described as a white male, 18 years old, 5’5” tall, 135 to 150 lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes, last seen wearing white pants and a white shirt.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/2/2006, 1600 blk Wilson Boulevard. Between 1650 hrs on 09/30/06 and 0700 hrs on 10/02/06, someone entered a construction site and broke into several storage sheds. A large amount of copper piping was taken.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/2/2006, 4200 blk N. 23rd St. Between 2000 hrs on 10/01/06 and 1120 hrs on 10/02/06, someone entered the back yard of a home and took a snowblower from beneath a deck.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/1/2006, 3100 blk Clarendon Blvd. Between 0200 hrs and 0230 hrs on 10/01/06, someone broke into a bank but apparently did not take anything. The suspect is described as a man, 5’7” tall, 150 lbs, with light-colored hair, wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.
