DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY-ARREST, 12/30/2008, 4200 block of N. Fairfax Drive. On December 29 at 1 am, a man jumped onto the hood of a car that did not belong to him. The vehicle was damaged and police apprehended the suspect. Joshua Harrigan, 29, of Arlington, was charged with Destruction of Property and Drunk in Public. He was held on a $1,500 bond.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 12/29/2008, 1300 block of N. Troy Street. Between 10 pm on December 27, and 3:30 am on December 29, two vehicles in a parking garage were broken into. One vehicle was moved to a different level in the garage, but was located. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 12/29/2008, 600 block of N. Glebe Road. Between 3 pm on December 24, and 8 am on December 26, an unknown subject entered nine vehicles. Items were stolen from inside each vehicle or the vehicle was damaged. There is no suspect description.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 12/29/2008, 300 block of N. Oakland Street. Between 6 pm and 9 pm on December 28, an unknown suspect attempted to enter a house by breaking the glass window of the rear door. Entry was not gained. There is no suspect description.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 12/29/2008, 700 block of N. Oakland Street. Between 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm on December 26, an unknown subject tampered with the deadbolt on the victim’s front door. Entry was not gained. There is no suspect description.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 12/29/2008, 1800 block of N. Fort Myer Drive. Between 12:30 am on December 25, and 3 pm on December 26, an unknown suspect gained access to a business suite and stole a television. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY, 12/29/2008, 4400 block of N. Henderson Road. Between 11:30 am and 2 pm on December 28, an unknown subject stole items from a locked bedroom. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY, 12/29/2008, 2200 block of N. Somerset Street. Between 5 am on December 24, and 1 pm on December 26, an unknown suspect forced open the front door to a residence, causing the frame to break. No items were taken. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY, 12/29/2008, 3200 block of S. 9th Street. On December 27 at 4:30 am, a man attempted to enter a residence through a window. The suspect was known to the home owner and warrants were issued.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY-ARREST, 12/29/2008, 800 block of N. Highland Street. On December 27 at 10:45 am, a woman entered a residence without permission of the homeowner. When she was confronted, she left. Police located her shortly afterward. Suzanne Thomas, 53, of Arlington, was charged with Unlawful Entry. She was held on a $15,000 bond.

POSSESSION OF COCAINE-ARREST, 12/29/2008, 1100 block of N. Highland Street. On December 28 at 1 am, police were called to a restaurant/bar for suspected drug use by a patron. A subject was found to be in possession of cocaine. Kurt Ulsaker, 40, of Annapolis, MD, was charged with Possession of Cocaine and released on his own recognizance.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 12/29/2008, 3100 block of Wilson Boulevard. On December 21 at 1 am, three subjects and a bouncer got into an argument when the bouncer was escorting them from the bar. Two of the subjects assaulted the bouncer. The third subject was intoxicated in public. Jennifer Rainear, 25, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with Resisting Arrest, Assault and Battery and drunk in Public. She was held on a $3,000 bond. Marc Dalessio, 27, of Falls Church, was charged with Assault and Battery and Drunk in Public. He was held on a $3,000 bond. Ryan Singer, 27, of Mclean, was charged with Drunk in Public and was held in booking until sober.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 12/29/2008, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. On December 27 at 7:30 pm, two men were approached by three people while walking through the mall. The group pepper sprayed the two men, and then assaulted them. The pepper spray also affected several people in the general area. The three suspects are known to the victims.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 12/29/2008, 1600 block of N. George Mason Drive. On December 27 at 8 pm, a combative patient at the hospital bit a nurse in her finger. Faith Jones, 42, of Arlington, charged with Malicious Wounding. She was held without bond.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 12/24/2008, 600 block og N. Harrison Street. Between 4 pm on December 19, and 1:30 on December 23, an unknown person tried to force their way into a locked garage. The door and lock were damaged. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 12/23/2008, 1400 block of N. Taft Street. Between 11:30 pm on December 20, and 9 am on December 22, an unknown suspect broke into two vehicles in a parking garage. There is no suspect description.

GRAND LARCENY (SERIES), 12/23/2008, 1200 block of S. Joyce Street. Between 6 pm and 7 pm on December 22, an unknown suspect broke into several lockers at a gym and stole various items.

OBSCENE SEXUAL DISPLAY, 12/23/2008, 2000 block of S. Glebe Road. On December 19 at 10 pm, a woman witnessed a man standing in front of a window exposing himself to public view. The suspect has been identified.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 12/23/2008, 800 block of S. Army Navy Drive. On December 22 at 1:30 pm, two men had a disagreement over a parking space and one man assaulted the other. The suspect is a white male or an African American male with a light complexion, 6’1” with an average build.

CREDIT CARD FRAUD-ARREST, 12/23/2008, 2200 block of Crystal Drive. At 3 pm on December 22, a man discovered his wallet was stolen from his gym locker. He immediately called police and the credit card company. The credit card company located the where the suspect had recently used the card. Police responded and apprehended the suspect. Donald Hershaw, 23, of Woodbridge, was charged with Larceny, Credit Card Theft, and Credit Card Fraud. He was held without bond.

SEXUAL BATTERY, 12/23/2008, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. On December 20 at 8:30 pm, four juvenile males approached a woman on an escalator. One male challenged another to “do it”, and the teenager grabbed the woman’s buttocks. When she yelled, they fled on foot. The suspects were all African American males in their mid-teens. The suspect that assaulted the female had chin length dreadlocks. He was wearing a dark zippered jacket and dark pants.

ROBBERY, 12/23/2008, 2500 block of Lee Highway. On December 22, at a maintenance worker walked into a boiler room and found a man getting dressed. It is believed the suspect had slept in the room. The suspect confronted the worker and then assaulted him while going through his pockets. The suspect then fled. The suspect was an African American male, 25 years old, 6’1” and 160 lbs. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

BANK ROBBERY, 12/23/2008, 2100 block of Crystal Drive. At 9:45 am on December 20, a female entered a bank and gave the teller a note. She left with bank with cash. The suspect was a white Hispanic female in her late 20’s, 5’3” with a petite build. She was dressed in all black with a scarf and hat.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 12/22/2008, 1400 block of N. Taft Street. Between 4 pm on December 20, and 5 pm on December 21, an unknown suspect broke into three vehicles and stole various items. There is no suspect description.

ATTEMPTED GRAND LARCENY, 12/22/2008, 3800 block of S. Columbia Pike. On December 19 at between midnight and 8:30 am, an unknown suspect broke into a vehicle. Various items were stolen and the ignition was damaged. There is no suspect description.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY-ARREST, 12/22/2008, 5200 block of N. 25 Place. On December 21 at 2:30 am, a man broke a window pane in a door and attempted to enter a house in which he did not reside. The homeowner confronted him and called police. The suspect was apprehended close by. Andrew Ward, 18, of Arlington was charged with Unlawful Entry, Destruction of Property, and Drunk in Public. He was held on a $2,500 bond.

ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER/FELONY ELUDING, 12/22/2008, I- 395 at Glebe Road. On December 19 at 3 pm, an officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation when the vehicle almost hit the officer, before it drove off. The vehicle subsequently refused to stop for the officer and fled into Washington D.C. It was later discovered the vehicle had been involved in a grand larceny from a local mall.

SEXUAL BATTERY-ARREST, 12/22/2008, 2600 block of S. Jefferson Davis Highway. On December 19 at 9:30 pm, a woman was kissed and fondled by a male co-worker against her will. Brian Baker, 38, of Milford, NM, was charged with Sexual Battery and held on a $5,000 bond.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 12/22/2008, 400 block N. Park Drive. On December 21 at 2:30 pm, a man was approached by a man he did not know. The suspect displayed a knife and demanded money. The victim threatened to call police, and the suspect fled. The suspect was an African American male in his 30’s, 5’9” with a medium build. He was wearing a black skull cap, black zip-up jacket and black pants.

ROBBERY, 12/22/2008, 2700 block of S. Glebe Road. On December 19 at 10:30 pm, a man was walking when a vehicle pulled beside him. The vehicle was occupied by three unknown men. One suspect displayed a weapon and took the victim’s cell phone. The three suspects were all African American men in their late 20’s. One suspect was wearing a dark coat, the second man was wearing a white t-shirt, and the third was wearing a bright yellow t-shirt.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 12/19/2008, 800 block of S. Army Navy Drive. On December 18 at 6 pm, and unknown suspect broke into two vehicles and stole several items. There is no suspect description.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 12/19/2008, 3800 block of N. 9th Street. Between 6 pm on December 11 and 5 pm on December 18, an unknown suspect broke windows on three vehicles. There is no suspect description.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 12/19/2008, 1200 block of N. Rolfe Street. On December 19, at 6:30 am, an unknown person opened the window of an apartment. The resident was home and spoke to the suspect, who then fled. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY, 12/19/2008, 6900 block of N. Fairfax Drive. Between 10 am and 6:30 pm on December 18, an unknown suspect pried open the front door of an apartment. Several items were stolen. There is no suspect description.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 12/19/2008, 1300 block of S. Joyce Street. On December 18 at 12 pm, an Arlington County employee was writing a parking ticket to a vehicle. When the owner of the vehicle arrived, he pushed the employee and threw the ticket in the employee’s face. Farheen Zaman, 32, of Alexandria, was charged with Assault and Battery and released on a summons.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 12/19/2008, 600 block of N. Glebe Road. On December 17 at 10:30 pm, an argument took place between a couple and the female’s ex-boyfriend. The couple was exiting a movie theatre when the ex-boyfriend approached them, and assaulted the male half of the couple. When the woman attempted to separate the two men, the suspect pushed her to the ground and kicked her repeatedly. The suspect then fled the scene but was apprehended later. Ariunbold Batjargal, 30, of Arlington, was charged with two counts of Assault and Battery and he was held on a $10,000 bond.

ROBBERY, 12/19/2008, 1900 block of N. Glebe Road. On December 18 at 7 pm, a woman was walking when an unknown man approached her from behind. The suspect pushed her to the ground and attempted to steal her bag. The woman resisted until the suspect told her that he had a gun, at which time the woman let go of the bag. The suspect fled in a dark blue mid-size sedan. The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20’s, blonde hair, light colored eyes, 5’10, with a skinny build. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a black knit cap.

LARCENY (SERIES), 12/18/2008, 2200 block of Crystal Drive. On December 17 at 3 pm, an unknown suspect broke into several lockers in the locker room at a gym. Several wallets were stolen. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY (SERIES), 12/18/2008, 1700 block of N. Moore Street. On December 17 at 2 pm, an unknown subject entered an office and stole items from several desks. The suspect was an African American male with a light complexion and 6’. He also had corn rows. The suspect was last seen wearing dark pants and a light brown puffy jacket.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 12/18/2008, 800 block of N. Emerson Street. Between 4 pm on December 16, and 1 pm on December 17, an unknown subject broke a window of a business and stole various items. The owner has named a suspect.

BURGLARY, 12/18/2008, 3500 block of Washington Boulevard. Between 5:30 pm on December 16, and 5 pm on December 17, an unknown suspect entered a residence and stole several items. There is no suspect description.

ASSAULT, 12/18/2008, 1800 block of N. Lexington Street. On December 17 at 6:30 pm, a man was speaking to a juvenile female at the library. A retired police officer observed that the girl was clearly uncomfortable, and asked the suspect to stop bothering the girl. The suspect then assaulted the bystander. Corvus Orion Heller, 20, of Arlington, was charged with Assault and released on a summons.

RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY, 12/18/2008, 1100 block of S. Jefferson Davis Highway. On December 16 at 11:30 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was reported stolen from North Carolina. Martin Scahill, 41, of Arlington, was charged with Receiving Stolen Property and released on his own recognizance.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY/RECOVERED STOLEN AUTO, 12/17/2008, 6200 block of N. 23rd Street. On December 16 at 9 am, a vehicle reported stolen a month ago was found in the garage of a house under construction. The vehicle had been stripped of parts. There are no known suspects.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 12/17/2008, 1100 block of N. Wakefield Street. On December 16 at 6:30 pm, a woman heard an unknown suspect attempting to enter her apartment through the kitchen. The person did not gain entry and there is no suspect description.

ROBBERY, 12/17/2008, 800 block of S. 15th Street. On December 16 at 5 pm, officers responded to a shoplifting call. The store decided not to prosecute the three juvenile male suspects and they were released after their information was taken. A short time later, three juvenile male suspects followed a woman to her apartment building. One suspect entered the lobby with the woman, and stole her purse. The three suspects were shown on surveillance video and identified by police as the same three suspects from the prior shoplifting call. Petitions are now pending for their arrest.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 12/15/2008, 2500 block of S. Adams Street. On December 14, between 4 am and 8 am, an unknown suspect broke a window on four vehicles. There is no suspect description.

GRAND LARCENY, 12/15/2008, 2900 block of S. Glebe Road. On December 14, between 3 pm and 5 pm, an unknown subject broke into a gym locker and stole a set of car keys. The victim then discovered the suspect had used them to enter his vehicle and steal various items from inside. There is no suspect description.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 12/15/2008, 3400 block of S. 25th Street. On December 13 at 12:15 am, a man was approached by an unknown suspect who assaulted him. The victim stated that he didn’t have any money. The suspect bit him before fleeing on foot. The suspect was an African American male, 22 years old, 5’5, and 140 lbs. He was wearing a black jacket.

ROBBERY, 12/15/2008, 1100 block of N. Hayes Street. On December 13 at 4:30 pm, a man was talking on his cell phone while sitting at a table in the mall food court. An unknown man grabbed the phone and fled. Suddenly the unknown suspect grabbed the man’s cell phone and ran away. The suspect was an African American male in his late teens; he was last seen wearing a green striped hat and red pants.

PEEPING TOM, 12/12/2008, 1900 block of N. Ft. Myer Drive. On December 10 at 10:15 pm, a woman was approached by a man at a bar by a man she did not know. The man told the woman that he knew the hotel room in which she was staying. He also stated that he had watched her changing her clothing on numerous occasions. The suspect’s name was given to police.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 12/11/2008, 3500 block of S. Ball Street. Between 7 pm on December 9, and 8 am on December 10, an unknown suspect broke into six vehicles and stole several electronic items. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 12/11/2008, 2400 block of S. Lowell Street. On December 10 between midnight and 4 am, an unknown suspect broke into six vehicles and stole several items. There is no suspect description.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 12/11/2008, 900 block of S. Water Reed Drive. On December 10 at 10 pm, an unknown suspect approached a woman walking down the street. He stole a binder and then threw it in the bushes. The suspect is described as an African American male, 5’10, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a brown sweater and dark pants.

ROBBERY, 12/11/2008, 2900 block of S. 23rd Street. On December 10 at 3:30 pm, a man forced his ex-girlfriend into an apartment against her will. He then assaulted her and stole her cell phone. He ran from police when approached. Rondell Pettus, 27, of Alexandria, was apprehended and charged with Robbery and Abduction. He is being held without bond.

POLICE INVOLVED SHOOTING, 12/11/2008, 5300 block of N. 36th Street. On December 10 at 11:30 am, Fairfax County officers located a bank robbery suspect in Arlington County. When they approached him and gave him commands, he produced a firearm. Fairfax County officers shot the suspect and he died at the scene. The suspect has been identified as Hailu Brook, 19, of McLean. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY, 12/10/2008, 1700 block of N. Moore Street. On December 9 at 7 am, a man was walking through the park when he was approached by three unknown suspects. The three men approached him and displayed a weapon. They fled the scene after taking his money and phone. All three suspects were white Hispanic men in their 20’s. The first suspect was last seen wearing a black peatcoat, dark jeans, grey hooded sweatshirt, and black sneakers. The second suspect was wearing a black puffy coat and a black skull cap. The third suspect was last seen wearing all black clothing.

GRAND LARCENY FROM A PERSON, 12/9/2008, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. On December 8 at 8:30 pm, an unknown suspect grabbed a woman’s purse while she was seated at a table, then fled on foot. The suspect is an African American male in his late teens. He was last seen wearing a dark cap, dark blue jeans and dark pants.

GRAND LARCENY FROM A PERSON-ARREST, 12/9/2008, 1200 block of S. Hayes Street. On December 8 at 2 pm, a subject stole a woman’s cell phone of the table at which she was sitting. He fled but was later located by police. Nathan Martin, 18, of Washington D.C. was charged with Grand Larceny, Larceny with Intent to Sell, and False I.D. to Law Enforcement. He was held on a $3,500 bond.

BURGLARY, 12/9/2008, 5300 block of Columbia Pike. On December 8 at 4:30 pm, a woman reported that several items had been stolen at an unknown time from her apartment. There is no suspect description.

HOMICIDE, 12/9/2008, 2100 block of S. Arlington Ridge Road. On December 8 at 4 am, police responded to a residence for a call about a shooting. Mr. Matthew Hicks, 32, of Loudon County, was found deceased in the house. Mr. Willie Donaldson, 35, of Arlington, was charged with Murder. He is being held without bond.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 12/8/2008, 600 block of S. Clark Street. On December 5, between 5 am and 5 pm, an unknown suspect broke into two vehicles and stole several electronic items. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 12/8/2008, 1400 block of Lee Highway. Between 8 am on December 5, and 10:30 pm on December 7, an unknown suspect broke into two vehicles and stole a GPS unit. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), , 12/8/2008, the Boulevard Manor Neighborhood. Between 4:30 pm on December 5, and 11 pm on December 6, an unknown suspect broke into three vehicles and stole several items. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 12/8/2008, 3800 block of S. Four Mile Run Drive. Between 3 pm on December 3, and 2 pm on December 5, an unknown suspect removed the catalytic converters from two vehicles on the auto sales lot. There is no suspect description.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 12/8/2008, 2300 block of S. 26th Court. On December 4 at 5:30 pm, management discovered that an unknown suspect superglued the locks to 17 apartments. There is no suspect description.

ATTEMPTED GRAND LARCENY OF AUTO, 12/8/2008, 4600 block of S. Four Mile Run Drive. Between 7 am on December 1, and 2 pm on December 6, an unknown subject tampered with the ignition to a vehicle. There is no suspect description.

RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY-ARREST, 12/8/2008, 395 S. at King Street. On December 5 at 6 am, a man was stopped for speeding and was found in possession of stolen tags. Joseph Glinton, 26, of Washington D.C., was charged with Possession of Stolen Property, Speeding, and Improper Registration, and released on a summons to appear in court.

ASSAULT ON POLICE- ARREST, 12/8/2008, 395 S. at King Street. On December 6 at 3 pm, police handled a single car accident. When the driver was placed in a cruiser, she assaulted the officer. Nneka Lewis, 31, of Lorton, was charged with Assault and Battery on Police, and held on a $4,500 bond.

ASSAULT ON POLICE- ARREST, 12/8/2008, 400 block of S. 23rd Street. On December 7 at 5:30 pm, police arrested a disorderly drunk male. When he was being booked, he assaulted an officer. Juan Martin Miqueo, 34, of Garden Grove, CA, was charged with Assault and Battery on Police, and held on a $3,500 bond.

BURGLARY-ARREST, 12/8/2008, 4400 block of N. Henderson Road. On December 6 at 3:30 am, a man entered an apartment through a bathroom window. He was confronted by the resident and fled. Police apprehended the suspect a short time later. David Orosco-Cabrera, 38, of Arlington, was charged with Burglary. He was held without bond.

BURGLARY, 12/8/2008, 700 block of N. Wakefield Street. On December 6 at 8:30 pm, a man stated to police that someone broke into his apartment during a 30 minute time frame and stole his laptop. There is no suspect description.

ROBBERY, 12/8/2008, 900 block of S. Glebe Road. On December 5 at 10:30 am, a man was waiting at a bus stop when he was approached by a female. A man then stepped out of a vehicle and approached the two. The suspect pulled out a pocket knife and demanded money. The suspect and the woman then fled the scene. The first suspect is a white Hispanic woman in her 30’s, 5’6” tall. She was wearing a long red coat with a hood. The second suspect is a white Hispanic male in his 30’s, 5’7”. He was wearing a black baseball cap, blue jeans and white shoes.

ROBBERY, 12/8/2008, 2700 block of Washington Boulevard. On December 7 at 8:30 pm, as a woman was entering her vehicle, an unknown African American male grabbed her purse and ran with it. The suspect was in his early 30’s, 6’, and 180 lbs. He was last seen wearing a dark hat, dark jacket and jeans.

ROBBERY, 12/8/2008, 1700 block of Wilson Boulevard. On December 7 at 7:30 pm, an unknown suspect walked up to two women and asked for a cigarette. The suspect then fled after stealing one woman’s purse. The suspect was an African American male in his 40’s. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket and a dark baseball cap.

PEEPING TOM, 12/5/2008, 2000 block of S. 26th Street. On December 5 at midnight, a woman saw an unknown male looking into the window of her first floor bedroom. The suspect was fled on foot when found. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.

An associate of the initial suspect was apprehended as well. Walter Smith, Jr., 28, of Washington D.C., was charged with Forgery, Uttering, and Attempted Grand Larceny. ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 12/5/2008, 200 block of S. Glebe Road. On December 5 at 2 am, officers noticed a man that was bleeding from the head stumbling on a sidewalk. The man stated that three unknown men had assaulted him while trying to rob him. The suspects were described as three white Hispanic males. The victim’s story changed several times and he was intoxicated.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 12/4/2008, 4300 block of S. 35th Street. Between 7:30 pm on December 2, and 9:30 am on December 3, an unknown subject broke into a vehicle. The suspect then located keys to another vehicle, and broke into that as well. The vehicle was not stolen because the battery was dead, but electronic items were taken. BURGLARY, 12/4/2008, 2100 block of S. Monroe Street. On December 3, between 5 pm and 5:30 pm, a known male broke into a locked room in a house. Warrants are pending.

ASSAULT, 12/4/2008, 1200 block of N. Rochester Street. On December 2 at 3:30 pm, a juvenile female was walking when an unknown male standing against a car made an obscene comment to her. The male had his hand in his pants at the time. The suspect was a white Hispanic male, 30-40 years old and 5’11”. He was last seen wearing black pants and a grey hooded sweatshirt.

LATE ROBBERY, 12/4/2008, 4200 block of N. Pershing Drive. On November 30 at 2 am, a man was walking when two unknown men approached him. They shook him and spoke in Spanish. The victim did not understand them, but gave them his money anyway. The suspects then fled. The suspects were both white Hispanic males in their 20’s. The victim did not report the incident until December 3.

ROBBERY, 12/4/2008, 1100 block of N. Stafford Street. On December 3 at 11:30 pm, a woman walking from the metro was approached by an unknown man. He grabbed her purse. When she held on to it, he assaulted her. He fled into a white van waiting in the area. The suspect was an African American male in his 20’s wearing all black clothing.

ROBBERY, 12/4/2008, 400 block of N. Park Drive. On December 3 at 9:30 pm, a woman was walking when two unknown men approached her; one attempted to steal her purse. She fought with the suspect, and they both fled the area. The man who grabbed the purse was a white Hispanic male, 5’6” and heavyset. He was wearing a white t-shirt with black flowers on it and a black knit cap.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 12/3/2008, 2000 block of N. Edison Street. Between 7 pm on November 30, and 8 am on December 1, an unknown suspect attempted to enter a residence by breaking a door frame. Entry was not gained. There is no suspect description.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 12/3/2008, 4000 block of N. Lorcom Lane. On December 1 at 9 pm, two people got into an argument which culminated in a fight when the suspect shoved the victim into a door. The victim sustained minor injuries. Russell Babington, 47, of McLean, was charged with Assault and Battery and released on a summons.

ROBBERY, 12/3/2008, 2500 block of Key Boulevard. On December 1 at 10 pm, a man was walking when three unknown African American men approached him. They displayed a gun and various items were stolen from the victim. The three suspects ran from the scene. One suspect wore a grey sweatshirt and black jeans. The second suspect wore a camouflage sweatshirt; the third suspect was last seen wearing a black and blue sweatshirt.

MISSILE INTO AN OCCUPIED VEHICLE, 12/1/2008, 1700 N. Lynn Street. On November 28 at 3:30 pm, an unknown suspect threw a rock into a rear windshield of a vehicle while it was stopped at a traffic light. The rock was large but no one in the car was injured. There is no suspect description.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 12/1/2008, 400 block of N. Thomas Street. On November 29 at 3 am, a man and his roommate argued. One of the men was punched and hit in the head with a bottle. The suspect left the apartment through an open window. Carlos Mendez-Gomez, 21, of Arlington, was charged with Malicious Wounding. He was held on a $1,500 bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 12/1/2008, 5500 block of Columbia Pike. On November 29 at 1:30 am, a struck another man in the head with a beer bottle. Rene Palma-Vasquez, 35, of Arlington, was charged with Malicious Wounding. He was held without bond.

ASSAULT ON POLICE- ARREST, 12/1/2008, 3100 block of Lee Highway. On November 28 at 10:30 pm, a man was arrested for underage drinking. The suspect kicked officers when he was being booked. Ryan Morrison, 20, of Arlington, was charged with Assault on Police and Underage Possession of Alcohol. He was held on a $2,500 bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 12/1/2008, 2400 block of S. Eads Street. On November 30 at 10:30 pm, an unknown man chased a male through a parking lot and assaulted him with a tire iron. The suspect was described as a Middle Eastern male.

POSSESSION OF A STOLEN CREDIT CARD-ARREST, 12/1/2008, 3100 block of Clarendon Boulevard. On November 26 at 5 pm, police responded to a restaurant for a man who was unable to pay his bill. When the subject could not pay he was taken into custody. Police found stolen credit cards when he was searched at the time of arrest. Mohamed Kane, 35, of Falls Church, was charged with Defrauding an Innkeeper and Possession of Stolen Credit Card. He was held on $7,500 bond.

ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 11/24/2008, 1000 Arlington Boulevard. On November 22 at 2 am, a couple was in a vehicle when the male noticed his ex-girlfriend was following him. The ex-girlfriend attempted to hit the man’s vehicle from behind with her own vehicle. She then assaulted the man’s new girlfriend. Ingrid Brewton, 41, of Washington DC, was charged with Attempted Malicious Wounding. She is being held on a $10,000 bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 11/24/2008, 5100 block of S. 8th Road. On November 21 at 10 am, a man suspect forced his way into an apartment and stabbed another man in the back. David Argueta, 27, of Arlington, was charged with Malicious Wounding. He is being held without bond.

On November 20 at 10:30 pm, a couple were involved in an argument when the female grabbed a knife and cut the male several places on his body. His injuries were not life threatening. ROBBERY, 11/20/2008, 5000 block of S. Columbia Pike. On November 19 at 5:30 pm, a juvenile was standing at a bus stop. He was approached from behind by a young male who forcibly took his cell phone. The suspect was an African American male wearing a black front-zip hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a black knit skull cap with a small brim. The suspect had a short mustache and goatee, and his right front tooth was chipped.

ROBBERY, 11/20/2008, 2000 block of S. Columbia Pike. On November 19 at 2:30 pm, a man on the street was approached by four African American juveniles. The four suspects assaulted the man and stole his wallet. The victim saw two of the suspects later in the day, and police were notified. RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY-ARREST, 11/17/2008, 200 block of N. Glebe Road. On November 16 at 1 pm, a man called police because he found someone he did not know in possession of his stolen bicycle. Gregory Terry, 40, of Arlington, was charged with Receiving Stolen Property. He was released on an unsecured bond of $2,000.

LARCENY-ARREST, 11/17/2008, 1400 block of N. Courthouse Road. On November 7, a woman was served with warrants for commiting fraud against the Department of Human Services’ Housing program in Arlington. Denise E. Muse, of Arlington, was charged with felony Larceny by False Pretenses.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 11/17/2008, 1800 block of N. Culpepper Street. At 5 pm on November 14, a man walking his dog saw unknown subject “huffing” from an aerosol can. The unknown subject confronted the dog walker, and assaulted him with the aerosol can. The suspect was a young white male wearing a black coat, white t-shirt and black pants.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 11/17/2008, 1400 block of N. Wilson Boulevard. On November 14 at 9 am, a female driver stopped her vehicle to allow pedestrians to cross the street. An unknown male in the crosswalk vandalized her car. When she exited the vehicle to confront him, he assaulted her. The suspect is an African American male in his 40’s with black hair. He was last seen wearing grey pants and a black button down shirt.

BRANDISHING-ARREST, 11/17/2008, 3700 block of S. Columbia Pike. On November 15 at 2 am, two unknown subjects approached two other men in a parking lot and brandished what appeared to be a black handgun. When a vehicle was pulled into the lot, the suspects fled. They were apprehended by police. Marvin Morales, 23, of Arlington, was charged with Brandishing. He was held without bond.

ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT-ARREST, 11/17/2008, 800 block of S. 23rd Street. On November 16, at 11 am, a woman was involved in an accident and charged with Reckless Driving. The driver refused to sign the summons and refused to comply with commands from police. Veronica Maciel, 21, of Alexandria, was also charged with Assault on Law Enforcement and Obstruction. She was held on a $4,500 bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 11/17/2008, 5000 block of S. Columbia Pike. On November 16 at midnight, a man leaving a club was assaulted by a man he knows as “Mascota”. The assault may be gang related. The suspect was a white Hispanic male, 35-40 years old, 5”10”, 150 lbs.

ROBBERY, 11/14/2008, 1700 block of N. Van Buren Street. At 9 pm on November 13, a man was walking when he was approached by two unknown men. The two suspects demanded money. After the victim gave them his wallet, the suspects assaulted him and stole his bag. The two suspects are described as two tall and thin, African American males. One suspect was wearing a baseball cap, black jacket and black pants. The other suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

BURGLARY, 11/10/2008, 3500 block of S. Clark Street. Between 4 pm on November 6, and 6 am on November 7, an unknown subject broke into a construction trailer and stole several tools.

BURGLARY-ARREST, 11/10/2008, 300 block of S. Wayne Street. Between 8 pm on November 8, and 12:30 am on November 9, someone entered an apartment and stole several items. Through investigation, police discovered a subject had been sleeping in the stairwells of the building. The man was located and had possession of the stolen items. Sean D. Glover, 52, of no fixed address, was charged with Burglary and Unlawful Entry. He is being held with no bond.

COUNTERFEIT REGISTRATION-ARREST, 11/10/2008, 1800 block of N. Arlington Boulevard. On November 7 at 4:30 am, police stopped a car with counterfeit temporary tags. The suspect also had a counterfeit Maryland temporary registration. James T. Dixon, 36, of Bowie, MD, was charged with Possession of a Counterfeit Registration, Driving While Suspended with Notice, and Possession of Counterfeit Temp Tags. He is being held on a $4,000 bond.

ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 11/10/2008, 5000 block of S. Columbia Pike. At 9 pm on November 8, police responded to the area for a disorderly male. Upon further investigation, officers discovered the suspect had attempted to stab two men that he did not know while in the parking lot. The suspect then assaulted a police officer and attempted to kick out the window of a police cruiser. Joaquin Andrades, 28, of no fixed address, was charged with two counts of Attempted Malicious Wounding, Assault on Police, and Destruction of Property. He is being held without bond.

LARCENY FROM A PERSON, 11/7/2008, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. On November 6 at 11 am, a man was sitting on a bench when a subject he did not know stole the laptop computer from his grasp. Police located the suspect directly afterward, and witnessed identified him. The suspect was a juvenile and charges are pending.

ROBBERY, 11/7/2008, 1800 block of S. Joyce Street. On November 6 at 8 pm, a woman was walking and using her cell phone when an unknown man ran up behind her. He grabbed her tote bag, and restrained her around the neck. She pushed him back, and he fled the area. The suspect is described as an African American male, 30’s, and 5’7”. He was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap, a black jacket and dark jeans.

BURGLARY, 11/6/2008, 3800 block of N. 6th Road. On November 5, between 10:30 am and 1 pm, an unknown suspect entered an apartment and stole a several items. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 11/5/2008, 5100 block of S. 7th Street. Between 8 pm on November 1, and 8:30 pm on November 4, two vehicles were broken into. Various items were stolen. There is no suspect description.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY-ARREST, 11/5/2008, 400 block of N. Thomas Street. On November 4 at 8 pm, an intoxicated man argued with his roommate and police were called. The suspect threw property on the floor in front of police, damaging it. He then jumped out a window and fled. He was later apprehended. Ramiro Lopez, 35, of Arlington, was issued a summons for Destruction of Property.

BURGLARY, 11/5/2008, 3400 block of S. Glebe Road. Between 12 pm on October 27, and 7 am on October 29, an unknown subject entered a construction site and stole copper wire. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY, 11/5/2008, 1300 block of Veitch Street. Between 8 am on November 1, and 8 pm on November 3, an unknown subject forcibly entered a several storage units and stole items. A suspect was named.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 11/4/2008, I-395 North at the Pentagon Exit. On November 3, the drivers of three vehicles exchanged words in heavy traffic. One driver exited his vehicle and closed a car door on another driver’s leg. Malik Driskell, 38, of Washington D.C. was charged with Assault and Battery and released on a summons to appear in court.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 11/4/2008, 4100 block of N. 4th Street. At 12:30 am on November 3, police were called to the hospital for a man with a knife wound. The victim claimed he was walking when an unknown subject walked up to him and stabbed him for no reason. The victim did not want police involved, and his story changed multiple times.

ROBBERY, 11/4/2008, 4400 block of N. Old Dominion Drive. On November 3 at 8:30 pm, three juvenile males were walking in when they were approached by a group of seven males. The suspects appeared to be in their teens as well. The suspects forcibly took cell phones belonging to the victims. The suspects were African American males wearing dark clothing. They had bandanas over their faces.

ROBBERY, 11/4/2008, 5500 block of S. Columbia Pike. On November 3 at 8:30 pm, as a man got off a bus, he was approached by three young Hispanic males. They forcibly stole his wallet. One suspect was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt. A second suspect was wearing a dark plaid sweatshirt.

ROBBERY, 11/4/2008, 1100 block of N. Stafford Street. On November 3 at 4:30 pm, a woman was walking home when an unknown man approached her asking for the time. When she pulled out her phone to look, the man grabbed it and fled on foot. The suspect is described as an African American male, in his late teens, tall, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing an orange or red sweatshirt and jeans.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 11/3/2008, 400 and 600 blocks of S. George Mason Drive. On November 2, between midnight and 1 am, police observed four suspects break into several vehicles and steal items from inside. The suspects were apprehended and charges are pending.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 11/3/2008, 5400 block of S. 5th Street On November 1 at 3:40 am, a man heard glass breaking outside his house. When he investigated, he saw two men running from the area. Four vehicles in his driveway had been vandalized. A suspect has been named.

BURGLARY-ARREST, 11/3/2008, 4900 block of N. 16th Street. On October 31 at 9 am, police responded to a residence because an unknown man fled from inside when the owner came home. Police located the suspect. Michael Taylor, 50, with no fixed address, was charged with Burglary. He was held on a $5,000 bond.

BURGLARY-ARREST, 11/3/2008, 600 block of S. Wakefield Street. On November 1 at 2:30 am, police responded to a school for an alarm call. Suspects were seen running from the school when officers arrived. One juvenile suspect was apprehended and taken to detention.

BURGLARY-ARREST, 11/3/2008, 4500 block of N. Carlin Springs Road. On November 2 at midnight, officers responded for a fight. Once on scene, police found that a man had repeatedly thrown various items through a neighbor’s windows. The suspect had also entered the house. Kyle Martin, 46, of Arlington, was charged with Burglary, Destruction of Property, Attempted Malicious Wounding, and Drunk in Public. He was held without bond.

POLICE IMPERSONATION-ARREST, 11/3/2008, 900 block of N. Stafford Street. On November 2 at 5 am, police responded to a dispute call at a restaurant. While investigating, an intoxicated man kept asking to leave because he was a federal law enforcement agent. Officers determined that he was not a law enforcement professional. Randal Berger, 25, of Manassas, was charged with Impersonating and Officer. He was held until sober.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 11/3/2008, 600 block of N. Randolph Street. On November 1 at 1 pm, a man and a woman had a verbal disagreement. The man later approached the victim in her vehicle, and struck her several times. A warrant for the suspect was obtained.

ASSAULT ON POLICE-ARREST, 11/3/2008, 4200 block of N. Fairfax Drive. On October 31 at 8 pm, when officers were investigating a call, a suspect became disorderly and attempted to strike police. He continued to attempt to kick officers while restrained. Charles Huff, 57, with no fixed address, was charged with Assault on Police and held without bond.

She gripped her purse close to her body, and an unknown suspect tried to forcibly take it from her. After a struggle, the suspect ran off without the purse. The suspect was a white Hispanic male in his 20’s. He was 5’7”, 150 lbs, and was last seen wearing dark dress pants and a red checked button down dress shirt.

ATTEMPTED GRAND LARCENY AUTO, 10/30/2008, 900 block of S. Rolfe Street. Between noon on October 25, and 8 am on October 29, and unknown subject entered a vehicle and tampered with the igniition. The vehicle was not stolen. There are no known suspects.

ABDUCTION-ARREST, 10/29/2008, 800 block of S. Greenbrier Street. On October 28 at 9 pm, a woman’s estranged husband forced her and their two young children into a vehicle. He drove them to an address in Fairfax County where they were later recovered unharmed. Juan Carlos Chavalier-Gonzales, 28, of Fairfax, was charged with Abduction. He is being held without bond.

DEATH INVESTIGATION, 10/29/2008, 800 block of N. Greenbrier Street. On October 28 at 3 pm, a man was working inside a dirt trench at a residential construction site. The trench collapsed, trapping him inside. Pablo Gonzalez, 59, of Falls Church, was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED SEXUAL ASSAULT, 10/28/2008, 200 block of N. Wayne Street. On October 27 at 1pm, a building manager called police. A housekeeper had reported to the manager that a resident in the building had exposed himself to her, and had also attempted to sexually assault her. The manager contacted police. The alleged incident is being investigated.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 10/27/2008, 900 block of N. Pollard Street. On October 24 at 9:30 pm, a verbal argument occurred between two women about the noise level of adjacent apartments. The woman who reported the noise violation was assaulted by the owner of the other apartment. Elizabeth Gilpin, 23, of Arlington, was issued a summons for Assault and Battery and released by the magistrate.

ROBBERY, 10/27/2008, 4300 blcok of N. Wilson Boulevard. On October 24 at 3 pm, a man was leaving a garage on his scooter when an unknown subject jumped in front of him. The suspect assaulted the victim and pushed him off the scooter. The suspect also stole property from the victim. The suspect was an African American male, 25 years old. He was last seen wearing jeans, a long dark jacket, and a pullover.

On October 23 at 3:30 pm, a man was walking home and was approached by an unknown subject who demanded the victim’s backpack and cell phone, which were handed over. The suspect fled the scene in a black Lincoln with tinted windows. The suspect is a white Hispanic male in his 20’s, 6’, and 160 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, jeans and black sneakers. The suspect also had a black skull cap on and his arms were heavily tattooed. This suspect is thought to be connected to the other listed robbery.

The suspect first demanded money and assaulted the victim with a screwdriver. During the second incident, the suspect stole the victim’s backpack and belongings. The suspect is a white Hispanic male, 20’s, 6’, with a thin build. He was last wearing a long black t-shirt and dark blue jeans.

ROBBERY, 10/14/2008, 5500 block of S. Columbia Pike. On October 12 at 2:30 pm, a male and female were walking in when they were approached by three unknown subjects. The suspects took the female’s purse and assaulted her. The male victim was also assaulted. The three suspects were white Hispanic males in their mid 20’s. Two of the subjects were last seen wearing red jerseys, and the other subject wearing a striped shirt.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/8/2008, 4700 block of N. Rock Spring Road. Between 7:30 pm on October 6, and 6:00 am on October 7, an unknown suspect forcibly entered a golf course garage and vandalized golf carts and damaged other property. There is no suspect description.

HIT AND RUN/BRANDISHING, 10/8/2008, 4900 block of S. Chesterfield Road. On October 7 at 12:30 pm, a man and a woman were involved in a traffic accident. The man drove away from the scene and the woman called police. She later stated that the man had brandished a firearm at her after the accident. The suspect was located by police but no weapon was found. Allen Taylor, 19, of Arlington, was charged with Hit and Run and Brandishing a firearm. He was held on a $3,500 bond.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 10/8/2008, 800 block S. Greenbrier Street. At 8 pm on October 6, a woman walked outside to throw away her trash, when she was hit in the back of the neck. Suspect is a male, in his 20’s. He was last seen wearing a navy or blue fleece hooded shirt, and dark pants.

ARMED ROBBERY-ARREST, 10/8/2008, 1700 block of S. Joyce Street. On October 7 at 11 am, a man was approached by two suspects. One suspect displayed what appeared to be a firearm in his waistband and took the victim’s cell phone. Police responded to the area and after a search, located the two juvenile offenders. Both suspects were taken into custody and taken to juvenile detention.

The subject yelled that he was having a heart attack. As the victim went to assist, the suspect produced a knife and demanded the victim’s wallet. The victim tried to pull away and was stabbed. The suspect is an African American male in his 20’s, 6'1”, with a thin muscular build. He had a thin beard and acne. The suspect was last seen wearing a baggy black t-shirt with an orange design on the back, and black jeans.

The vehicle was a dark, two door sports car. The vehicle was an older model with damage on the body.

They pushed the victim to the ground. No items were stolen. One suspect is a white Hispanic male in his early 20’s, wearing a t-shirt, and jeans. He was clean shaven and had a mole on his neck. The second suspect is a white Hispanic male, wearing a black shirt; white shorts. He was clean shaven and had very short hair.

BURGLARY, 10/3/2008, 2000 Jefferson Davis Highway. On October 2 between 7 am and 2:30 pm, an unknown subject stole some clothing from a hotel room. There is no suspect description.

ATTEMPTED GRAND LARCENY AUTO-ARREST, 10/3/2008, 3100 block of Clarendon Boulevard. On October 3 at midnight, an intoxicated male got into an unmarked police cruiser and attempted to drive it away. He was stopped by police. Daniel White, 25, of Arlington was charged with Attempted Grand Larceny Auto and Drunk in Public. He was held in detention until he became sober.

ROBBERY, 10/3/2008, 4300 block of N. Henderson Road. At 1:30 am on October 3, police responded for a robbery call. A man stated that he had been walking when an unknown female approached him and held a knife to his neck. He said she directed hi to a secluded utility room where she searched him and stole his wallet. He was not harmed. The suspect is described as an African American female in her 40’s, 5’5” with a skinny build. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.

ROBBERY-ARREST, 10/3/2008, 5002 block of Columbia Pike. On October 2 at 12:30 pm, a person witnessed a stranger get robbed by three suspects. The suspects forcibly took a cell phone from the victim’s hand. Police arrived and located the victim and two of the suspects. They were positively identified. Edlow Moten, 19, and Duval Wilson, 21, both of Arlington, were charged with Robbery.

LARCENY, 10/2/2008, 300 block of S. Army Navy Drive. On September 19 between noon and 5:30 pm, an unknown subject stole two speakers from the banquet room of a hotel. There is no suspect description.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/2/2008, 200 block of S. 20th Street. Between 3 pm on September 29, and 6 am on October 1, an unknown subject stole power equipment from a locked construction site. There are no known suspects.

BURGLARY (SERIES), 10/2/2008, 900 block of S. Buchanan Street. Between 4 pm on September 30, and 9:30 am on October 1, an unknown suspect broke into two apartments in the same building and stole various items.

BURGLARY, 10/2/2008, 4300 block of N. Lee Highway. On October 2 between 6 pm and 8 pm, an unknown person entered an apartment and stole various items. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY, 10/2/2008, 1500 block of N. Wilson Boulevard. Between 6 pm and 7 pm on October 1, two laptops were stolen from an office building by an unknown subject. There is no suspect description.

ATTEMPTED GRAND LARCENY AUTO (SERIES), 10/1/2008, 3000 block of S. Abingdon St. Between 3 pm on September 26, and 9 pm on September 30, an unknown suspect attempted to steal two vehicles. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 10/1/2008, 5900 block of N. 9th St. Between 6 pm on September 29, and 7:30 am on September 30, and unknown suspect broke into two vehicles. The suspect attempted to break in to an additional vehicle. There is no suspect description.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 10/1/2008, 2200 block of N. Fairfax Dr. On September 30 at 7:30 pm, two men yelled obscenities at a man and his girlfriend. As the couple was walking to their apartment, the two suspects attacked the male victim. Elmer Gonzales, 24, and Hilder Gonzales, 19, both of Arlington, were charged with Assault and Battery. They were held on $2,500 bond.

BURGLARY, 10/1/2008, 1700 block of N. Kent St. Between 11 am on September 29, and 8 am on September 30, an unknown suspect broke into a coin machine in an apartment building. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY, 10/1/2008, 4500 block of S. 31st St. Between 5 pm on September 29, and 7:30 am on September 30, an unknown suspect broke into an office and took cash. There is suspect description.
