DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY 12/30/2004, multiple report numbers and locations, Sometime between 1600hrs on 12/23/04 and 1000hrs on 12/28/04, unknown subject(s) caused damage to the athletic fields at Taylor, Tuckahoe and Nottingham Elementary Schools, Williamsburg and Swanson Middle Schools and H.B. Woodlawn High School. The subject(s) appear to have driven an all-terrain vehicle across the fields.

ARMED ROBBERY 12/30/2004, 2500 block of Washington Blvd., On 12/30/04, at 0110hrs, the victim, a 26yo male, was walking home when a car occupied by three subjects stopped in front of him. The passengers got out of the vehicle. One of the subjects produced a handgun and demanded the victim's money. The victim complied and both subjects got back into the vehicle. The vehicle then fled southbound on Washington Blvd. Subject #1 was described as a WHM, 30's, 5'8", heavy set, goatee and spoke with a Spanish accent. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. Subject #2 was described as a WHM, 30's, 5'9", skinny, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. The suspect vehicle was described as a red, four-door Honda Civic.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 12/29/2004, 2700 block of Clarendon Blvd., Sometime between 1200hrs and 1350hrs on 12/29/04, unknown subject(s) forced entry into a storage room of a computer store and stole 8 computers.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 12/29/2004, 2600 block of N. Pershing Dr., Sometime between 1900hrs on 12/23/04 and 12/29/04 at 1400hrs, unknown subject(s) forced entry into a daycare center by prying open the front door and stole a desktop computer.

ARMED ROBBERY 12/29/2004, 1600 block of N. 18th St., On 12/29/04,at 0030hrs, the victims, a 20yo male and a 22yo male, were walking when two unknown subjects approached them from behind, began to hit the victims, and demanded money. The subjects took money from the victim's pockets and then fled the scene on foot. Subject #1 was described as a BM, 5'9", 155lbs, wearing a dark-colored "baseball" or letter jacket, a dark hoodie, a dark mask and blue jeans. Subject #2 was described as a BM, 5'9", 160-165lbs, wearing a dark jacket, a dark hoodie, a dark mask and blue jeans.

ARMED ROBBERY 12/28/2004, 900 block of S. George Mason Dr., On 12/28/04, at 2230hrs, the victim, a 21yo male, was working at a billiards hall when he was approached by two subjects, one of whom was an acquaintance of the victim. The subjects asked the victim to meet them in the parking lot. When the victim went outside, one of the subjects produced a handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and the subjects fled the scene in a tan, 1990 Ford Van bearing VA registration JHX 6665. Subject #1 was described as a BM, 19, 5'4", 170, wearing a red & black jacket, and had a scar on his bottom lip. Subject #2 was described as a BM, 25, 5'6", 140lbs, wearing a black sweater.

ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY 12/28/2004, 3000 block of Wilson Blvd., On 12/28/04, at 1632hrs, the victim, a 33yo female, was riding an elevator when an unknown subject got on the elevator, produced a fake handgun and demanded money. The victim did not respond, and when the elevator reached the lobby of the building, the subject ran from the elevator. The subject's husband, who was waiting in the lobby, flagged down a passing police officer when his wife advised what she had done. Tsigereda G. Seyoum, 31, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with attempted robbery.

COMMERICAL BURGLARY 12/26/2004, 4000 block of S. 28th St., Sometime between midnight on 12/25/04 and 0820hrs on 12/26/04, unknown subject(s) forced entry through a wall into a restaurant and stole a Sony TV and remote control.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING 12/26/2004, 6100 block of Wilson Blvd., On 12/26/04, at 2114hrs, the victim, a 23yo male, was drinking beer with a friend at his apartment when he and the friend began to argue and eventually physically fight. During the fight, the friend produced a knife and cut the victim's hand. The victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Officers arrested Jose Ilario Guzman Marquez, 22, of no fixed address, and charged him with malicious wounding. He is currently being held in the Arlington County Detention Facility without bond.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 12/25/2004, 2800 block of S. 16th Rd., Sometime between 2000hrs on 12/24/04 and 0128hrs on 12/25/04, unknown subjects entered a residence and stole an undisclosed amount of cash, gift cards and a Sony PlayStation. Point of entry into the residence is unknown.

ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY 12/24/2004, 1400 block of S. 28th St., On 12/24/04, at 1942hrs, the victim, a 55yo male, was checking his mailbox when an unknown subject approached him from behind, produced a knife and demanded his money. The victim turned around, yelled for help and pushed the subject down a flight of stairs. Neighbors, hearing the victim's yells, contacted police. Upon arrival, officers apprehended Wilmer Jose Gomez, 23, of no known address. After being transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries sustained when the victim pushed him down the stairs, Gomez was charged with attempted robbery.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 12/23/2004, 4200 block of Wilson Blvd., Sometime between 2257hrs on 12/22/04 and 0812hrs on 12/23/04, unknown subject(s) entered a store and stole three cash registers containing an undisclosed amount in cash. There were no signs of forced entry, but the subject(s) used force to take the registers.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY 12/19/2004, 1200 block of S. Fern St., On 12/19/04, at approximately 1745hrs, the victim, a 60yo male, was walking to his car from the mall with a bag of merchandise when an unknown subject approached him from behind, grabbed him and attempted to grab the bag. The victim struggled with the subject and prevented him from stealing anything. The subject fled on foot. The subject was described as a male in his teens with a ski mask pulled over his face.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 12/20/2004, 2800 block of S. 9th St., Sometime between 1200hrs and 1900hrs on 12/19/04, unknown subject(s) entered an apartment through a window and stole a check book, a pillow case and numerous pieces of jewelry.

ROBBERY 12/16/2004, 1700 block of N. Moore St., On 12/16/04 at approximately 1345hrs, the victim, a 24yo female, was approached by an unknown subject near the Rosslyn Metro station. The subject advised the victim that she needed money to get home, when the victim opened her wallet, the subject grabbed all of the victim's money and fled on foot. The subject was described as a BF, 40s, 5'0", 100lbs, bro eyes, black hair, light complexion, missing teeth, wearing a dark gray fleece hat with white flowers, a long dark winter coat and glasses. The subject was again seen in the Rosslyn area on 12/20/04.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 12/19/2004, 4200 block of Henderson Rd., Sometime between 1500hrs on 12/18/04 and 1500hrs on 12/19/04, unknown subject(s) forced entry through a window into a residence and stole a jacket, 2 hair dryers, several credit cards and a color TV.

ROBBERY 12/19/2004, 5100 block of S. 8th Rd., On 12/18/04, at 2030hrs, the victim, a 31yo male, was walking toward his apartment building when approximately seven subjects wearing masks approached him and demanded his money. The victim struggled with the subjects, but they managed to escape with the victim's rotisserie chicken, his jacket and one of his sandals.

COMMERICAL BURGLARY 12/18/2004, 4200 block of N. Wilson Blvd., On 12/18/04, at 0222hrs, two unknown subjects forced entry into a jewelry store and stole numerous pieces of jewelry. Subject #1 was wearing a light-colored jacket and dark pants. Subject #2 was wearing a dark jacket and dark pants.

ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL BURGLARIES 12/17/2004, 1700 block of N. Lynn St., Sometime between 1830hrs on 12/17/04 and 0800hrs on 12/18/04, unknown subject(s) attempted to force entry into two separate office suites by prying open the front doors.

ARMED ROBBERY 12/17/2004, 1500 block of N. Arlington Blvd., On 12/17/04, at 1920hrs, two unknown subjects, both wielding handguns, entered a hotel, ordered a customer to get on the ground, and demanded money from the desk clerk and the customer. Subject #1 searched the customer, a 51yo male, and took cash from his pocket. The desk clerk, a 26yo female, gave Subject #2 money from the register. Both subjects then fled the scene on foot.

Subject #1 was described as a BM, 6'0", 230lbs, wearing a camouflage jacket and black ski mask. Subject #2 was described a BM wearing all dark clothing and a black ski mask.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 12/16/2004, 5100 block of Lee Hwy., Sometime between 2100hrs on 12/13/04 and 1000hrs on 12/14/04, unknown subject(s) entered a store and stole cash. There were no signs of forced entry.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 12/16/2004, 1900 block of Eads St., Sometime between 0715hrs and 1715hrs on 12/16/04, unknown subject(s) forced entry through a door into an apartment and stole numerous pieces of jewelry, a gym bag and an MP3 player.

ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 12/16/2004, 5100 block of Lee Hwy., Sometime between 1800hrs on 12/15/04 and 1100hrs on 12/16/04, unknown subject(s) attempted to force entry through the front door into a store.

ROBBERY 12/16/2004, 4000 block of N. 9th St., On 12/16/04, at 0015hrs, the victim, a 22yo female, was entering her apartment when an unknown subject approached her, grabbed her cell phone and punched her. The victim screamed and the subject ran away. The subject was described as a WM, 25, 6'0", 180lbs, brown hair, wearing a white ski cap with horizontal stripes, gray pea coat and carrying a black laptop computer bag.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 12/15/2004, 1700 block of Wilson Blvd., Sometime between 1930hrs on 12/14/04 and 0800hrs on 12/15/04, unknown subject(s) forced entry through a rear door of a store and stole numerous cell phones and cell phone accessories.

ROBBERY 12/15/2004, 4300 Henderson Rd., On 12/15/04, at 0810hrs, the victim, a 32yo female, was walking when an unknown subject approached her from behind, grabbed her purse, and ran away. The subject was described as a WHM, brown hair, wearing a black coat light blue jeans.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 12/15/2004, 5000 block of Columbia Pike, On 12/15/04, at 0028hrs, unknown subject(s) broke out the front window of a store and stole items from the display.

ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION 12/14/2004, 5400 block of S. 8th Rd., On 12/14/04, at 1630hrs, the victim, a 10yo female, was walking home when an unknown subject approached her from behind and grabbed her arm. The victim struggled and was able to break free from the subject. The victim then ran home. The subject was described as a BM, 36-37, 5'05", 160lbs, brown hair, brown eyes, dark complexion, wearing a black Nike sweatshirt, blue jeans and tan boots.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 12/14/2004, 5500 block of Columbia Pike, Sometime between 0930hrs and 1200hrs on 12/14/04, unknown subject(s) entered an apartment and clothing items, DVDs, a wallet and a heart monitor.

ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 12/13/2004, 1700 block of S. 14th Rd., Sometime between 1900hrs on 12/11/04 and 0700hrs on 12/12/04, unknown subject(s) attempted to force entry through a glass door into a residence.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 12/11/2004, 200 block of S. 18th St., Sometime between 2040hrs on 12/10/04, and 0900hrs on 12/11/04, unknown subject(s) entered the Crystal City Food Court and stole food.

INDECENT EXPOSURE 12/10/2004, 2400 block of S. Jefferson Davis Hwy., The victim, a 28yo female, was sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle when an unknown subject approached the car and knocked on the window. The subject initially requested a lighter, but when the victim refused, the subject exposed his genitalia. The victim immediately contacted police. Upon arrival, officers arrested Robert Lee Morman, 43, of no fixed address. Morman was charged with indecent exposure and is currently being held in lieu of $3000 bond in the Arlington County Detention Facility.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 12/10/2004, 4300 block of N. Arlington Blvd., Sometime between 1200hrs and 1630hrs on 12/10/04, unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole video game equipment. There were no signs of forced entry.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 12/8/2004, 1200 blk S. Scott St., Sometime between 1600hrs on 11/30/04 and 2130hrs on 12/06/04, unknown subject(s) entered a storage unit and removed several articles of clothing. There were no signs of forced entry.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 12/7/2004, 1300 blk N. 17th St., Sometime between 1730 and 1800hrs on 12/06/04, unknown subject(s) entered a business and removed cash and liquor. There were no signs of forced entry.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 12/6/2004, 1600 blk N. Quincy St., Sometime between 0800 and 1710hrs on 12/06/04, unknown subject(s) entered a residence by breaking a window on a rear door and removed several items of jewelry and a laptop computer.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 12/5/2004, 2400 blk S. Monroe St., Sometime between 1830hrs on 12/02/04 and 1319hrs on 12/05/04, unknown subject(s) entered an unoccupied house under construction and removed several tools. Entry was made by forcing a piece of plywood from a doorway.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 12/4/2004, 500 blk N. Kensington St., Sometime between 11/22/04 and 0800hrs on 12/04/04, unknown subject(s) entered a residence and removed a number of tools. There were no signs of forced entry.

BANK ROBBERY 12/4/2004, 3400 blk S. Columbia Pike, At approximately 1030hrs on 12/04/04, an unknown male subject entered a bank, approached a teller and handed over a note demanding money. The subject left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 12/1/2004, Sometime between 1200hrs on 11/25/04, and 1230hrs on 12/01/04, an unknown subject forced entry through a door into a house. Nothing appeared to be missing.

ARMED ROBBERY 12/1/2004, 1200 blk S. Hayes St., On 11/30/04, at 1100hrs, an unknown male subject entered a business, grabbed a piece of merchandise and started to exit the store. The store manager approached the subject. The subject produced a knife, threatened the manager and then fled the store with the merchandise. The subject was described as a BM, 5'7", 170lbs, brown eyes, black hair, dark complexion, wearing dark clothes, glasses and a green hat.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 11/29/2004, 800 block of S. Dickerson St., On 11/29/04, at 0130hrs, an off-duty police officer discovered two subjects breaking into coin-operated laundry machines. After a brief foot pursuit, Victor R. Wilson, 48, of Seat Pleasant, Maryland, and Mary Washington, 46, of no fixed address, were arrested and charged with burglary, possession burglarious tools and tampering with coin machines.

ROBBERY 11/29/2004, 800 block of N. Quincy St., On 11/26/04, at 2000hrs, the victim, a 46yo female, was working as in a parking garage booth when an unknown subject grabbed her and stole her purse. The subject was described as a BM, 6'2", 200lbs, black hair, dark complexion, wearing a black jacket, red T-shirt with white cuffs and baggy blue jeans.

ROBBERY 11/27/2004, 1400 block of N. Barton St., On 11/27/04, at 0230hrs, the victim, a 30yo male, was walking home when two unknown subjects approached him, shoved him to the ground and stole his wallet. The subject then fled on foot. Both subjects were described as white males.

ROBBERY 11/27/2004, 5100 block of S. 10th St., On 11/26/04, at 2341hrs, the victim, a 39yo male, was walking when two unknown subjects approached him, punched him and stole his wallet. The subjects then fled on foot. Both subjects were described as black males.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 11/26/2004, 2700 S. Lang St., On 11/26/04, at 1333hrs, unknown subject(s) entered Gunston Middle School through a window. Nothing appeared to be missing.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 11/22/2004, 1500 block of Wilson Blvd., Sometime between 1800hrs on 11/22/04 and 0540hrs on 11/23/04, unknown subject(s) entered the Oak Street Café and stole a safe containing cash. There were no signs of forced entry.

ARMED ROBBERY 11/21/2004, 3000 block of Columbia Pike, On 11/24/04, at 1057hrs, the victim, a 38yo male, was delivering food to a restaurant when two unknown subjects got out of a truck that pulled along side him. Subject #1 produced a handgun and demanded the items from the victim's truck, while Subject #2 stole food items from the victim's truck. Both subjects then fled the scene in their truck eastbound on Columbia Pike.

Subject #1 was described as a WM, 28, 5'11", 175lbs, brown hair, wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. Subject #2 was described as a BM, 25, 5'9", 175lbs, brown eyes, black hair, wearing a black jacket and blue pants. The suspect vehicle was described as a white box-truck with black and red lettering on the side.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 11/21/2004, 2700 block of Washington Blvd., On 11/21/04, at 2221hrs, officers responding for a report of a subject tampering with autos located a probable suspect. Further investigation revealed that the subject entered a restaurant and stole a checkbook from a purse that was inside. Tseygaye Mengista, 24, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with burglary and petit larceny. He currently is being held without bond in the Arlington County Detention Facility.

ROBBERY 11/21/2004, 1000 block of N. Stuart St., On 11/21/04, at 1330hrs, the victim, a 16yo male, was walking when he was approached by two unknown subject(s) who demanded his money. The victim complied and the subjects fled the scene on foot. Subject #1 was described as a BM, 20-25, 6'1", 180lbs, black hair, dark complexion, wearing a black down jacket, white/gray shirt and tan work boots. Subject #2 was described as a BM, 20-25, 6'1", 180lbs, black hair, medium complexion wearing a black baseball hat, black down jacket, blue jeans and tan work boots.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 11/20/2004, 3300 block of Lee Hwy., Sometime between 1907hrs on 11/18/04, and 0755hrs on 11/20/04, unknown subject(s) forced entry into a retail business through a roof vent and stole approximately an undisclosed amount of cash.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 11/20/2004, 2700 block of N. Pershing Dr., Sometime between 1700hrs on 11/09/04, and 0905hrs on 11/20/04, unknown subject(s) entered a business and forcibly opened several cabinets and desks. It is unknown what was taken.

SEXUAL BATTERY 11/20/2004, 1000 block of N. Stafford St., On 11/20/04, at 2000hrs, the victim, an 18yo female, was walking when an unknown subject approached the victim from behind and grabbed her crotch. Responding officers located the subject. After further investigation, Carlos Hernandez-Cardona, 35, of Arlington was arrested and charged with sexual battery. He currently is being held without bond in the Arlington County Detention Facility.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING 11/20/2004, 2400 block of S. Glebe Rd., On 11/20/04, at 0530hrs, the victim, a 28yo male, was involved in an altercation with a male subject who was an acquaintance. During the altercation, the subject produced a handgun and shot the victim twice. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The subject was described as a BM, early 20's, 5'11", 230lbs, medium complexion, wearing a multi-colored hat with a short bill, a tan suede jacket and a light-colored T-shirt.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY 11/19/2004, 300 block of N. Thomas St., On 11/19/04, at 1848hrs, the victim, a 43yo male, was walking when an unknown subject approached him, grabbed him and attempted to grab his wallet. The victim, however, struggled with the subject and the subject ran away. The subject was described as a BM, 25, 5'8", 130lbs, brown eyes, black hair, wearing a black jacket, white T-shirt, black pants and a black baseball cap.

INDECENT EXPOSURE 11/18/2004, 1300 block of S. Glebe Rd., On 11/18/04, at 1030hrs, the victim, a 25yo female, was walking down the street when a car pulled along side her and slowed down. When the victim looked at the car, she observed that the driver was touching his exposed genitalia. The subject was described as a WM, 25, 5'10", 180lbs, brown eyes, brown hair, medium complexion, and short spiked hair. He was wearing blue jeans, gray shirt. The subject was driving a light blue, four-door Geo Prizm.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 11/18/2004, 3100 block of S. 14th St., On 11/18/04, at 0250hrs, an unknown subject attempted to force entry into a house. The resident was awoken by the noise and called police. The subject also broke into the resident's shed and stole a lawnmower. Officers observed a subject in the area pushing a lawnmower down the street. After further investigation, Joseph Brice, 26, of no fixed address was arrested and charged with burglary and grand larceny.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 11/17/2004, 5100 block of Lee Hwy., Sometime between 1900hrs on 11/16/04 and 0630hrs on 11/17/04, unknown subject(s) forced entry into a dry cleaning business through a vent on the roof and stole an undisclosed amount of money.

ARMED ROBBERY 11/17/2004, 1400 block of Lee Hwy., On 11/17/04, at 1852hrs, the victim, a 57yo male, was riding an elevator at a hotel when it stopped on the fourth floor. When the doors opened, an unknown subject, who was waiting on that floor, produced a handgun and demanded money. After the victim complied, the doors to the elevator closed and the victim continued to his floor. The suspect was described as a BM, 20's, 6'1", 170lbs, black hair and a medium complexion. He was wearing blue jeans, a blue jacket and a black "'do rag".

MALICIOUS WOUNDING 11/7/2004, 2000 block of S. Lincoln St., On 11/07/04, at 0630hrs, the victim, a 51yo male, was asleep in his house when an unknown subject entered his bedroom; cursed at him; and then, with no apparent provocation, stabbed him in the hand with a knife. The subjects started to punch and kick him. The subjects stole two T-shirts and the victim's bicycle before fleeing the scene. The subjects were all described as white, Hispanic males in their 20's.

GRAND LARCENY/FUGITIVE 11/6/2004, 5200 block of Carlin Springs Rd., Sometime between 0800hrs on 10/26/04 and 2000hrs on 10/30/04, a known subject stole the victim's checkbook and a video camera while temporarily living at the victim's house. Police apprehended Ryan Cantrell, 19, of the 700 block of N. Kenmore St., after searching for him for several days. He was charged in Arlington with grand larceny and currently is being held without bond in the Arlington County Detention Facility. Cantrell also is facing escape charges in Colorado.

ARMED ROBBERY 11/6/2004, 2400 block of Lee Hwy., On 11/06/04, at 2022hr, the victim, a 49yo male, was working as a cashier at a gas station convenience store when an unknown subject entered the store, produced a handgun and demanded money. The victim struggled with the subject, and the subject took the victim's purse and fled on foot. The subject was described as a WHM, 20's, 5'8", medium build, with a mustache and beard stubble. The subject was wearing a green & black, long-sleeved shirt, jeans with holes in them and a tan ball cap.

During the argument, Ross produced a handgun and shot the victim. Ross fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. A warrant charging Ross with malicious wounding was obtained and is still outstanding.

ROBBERY/MALICIOUS WOUNDING 10/31/2004, 1500 block of S. 28th St., On 10/31/04, at approximately 1900hrs, the victims, an 18yo male and a 19yo male, were walking along the street when several cars stopped next to them. A large group of unknown subjects got out and approached them.

The subjects asked the victims if they were in a gang and ordered Victim #1 to take of his shirt. At that point, the subjects began to hit Victim #1. Both victims ran in different directions. Half of the subjects chased Victim #1 and the other half chased Victim #2. Upon catching Victim #1, the subjects punched and kicked him and then fled the scene in the cars. Upon catching Victim #2, the subjects stole a NY Yankees baseball cap and then stabbed him in the back. These subjects also fled in their vehicles.

Victim #2 was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital. The subjects were all described as Hispanic males.

When the victim opened his door, the subject claimed he was a police officer, walked inside, searched the victim and took the victim's wallet. The subject then exited the apartment and fled the scene. The subject was described as a WM, 35, 6'0", thin build, red hair, wearing a beige shirt and blue jeans.

TRAFFIC COLLISION 10/29/2004, N/B I -395 @ Washington Blvd., At approximately 0600hrs, officers were dispatched to northbound I-395 near exit 8C for a report of a serious single-vehicle collision. A van struck the concrete HOV lane divider and tipped over, ejecting the driver, a 49yo Woodbridge man. The driver was taken by helicopter to a local hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. No one else was in the van, and no other vehicles were involved in the crash. All non-HOV lanes of N/B I-395 were closed for approximately 2 hours.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY 10/26/2004, numerous locations, On 10/26/04, at approximately 2330hrs, the victim, a 32yo male, was walking on the sidewalk in the 4100 block of Wilson Blvd when an unknown subject shot him in the leg with a bb gun. Just prior to this incident, another victim, a 28yo male, was walking in the area of the 3000 block of Wilson Blvd. when a passenger in a passing car shot a bb gun at him. The bb missed the victim but struck a window next to him. Additionally, the windows were shot out with a bb gun on at least nine vehicles that were parked in either the 500 block of N. Norwood St. or in the 3200-3500 blocks of Pershing Drive.

ARMED ROBBERY 10/26/2004, 1600 block of S. Hayes St., On 10/26/04, at 2250hrs, the victims, a 23yo male and a 31yo female, were sitting in a park when they were approached by three unknown subjects. Subject #1 initially engaged the victims in conversation, and then produced a handgun and demanded money. The subjects took the victims' wallets and cell phones before fleeing the scene on foot.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING 10/24/2004, 3200 block of Wilson Blvd., On 10/24/04, at 0201hrs, Officers responded for a report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers located two victims, a 22yo male and a 26yo male. The victims were uncooperative, but stated that several unknown subjects attacked them for no apparent reason as they walked down the street.

POLICE INVOLVED SHOOTING 10/24/2004, 1600 block of N. Wakefield St., On 10/24/04, at approximately 1731hrs, Two Arlington County Police officers were involved in a shooting when a 23-year-old Arlington man threatened them and a third officer with a shotgun. The man, identified as Christopher Weber, was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive his wounds.

An officer pulled Weber over for a traffic violation in the 1600 block of N. Woodstock St. in the Waycroft-Woodlawn neighborhood. After officers requested Weber to exit his vehicle, He got out of his car and fled into his residence. Inside the house, Weber pointed a shotgun at the officers. Two officers fired at Weber; he was hit twice in the shoulder.

Both officers have been placed on routine administrative leave pending the outcome of investigations by the Homicide/Robbery Unit and the Internal Affairs Unit.

Moore St., Arlington and Fairfax officers apprehended Ricardo Anthony Jones, 39, of the 100 block of Galveston St, S.W., in Washington D.C., who was wanted on 6 Fairfax County warrants in connection with the series of larcenies of wallets occurring in Rosslyn and Fairfax County.

INDECENT EXPOSURE 10/21/2004, 200 block of N. Piedmont St., On 10/21/04, at 0218hrs, the victim, a 28yo female, was in her bedroom when she heard a knock on the window. The victim opened the blinds, at which point, a subject outside lowered his pants and exposed his genitalia. The victim immediately called police and the subject fled on foot. The subject was described as a BM, 30, 5'9", 210lbs, black hair, dark complexion and a tan jacket.

INDECENT EXPOSURE 10/20/2004, 4900 block of Columbia Pike, On 10/19/04, at 0710hrs, the victim, a 6yo boy, was waiting for a school bus in the lobby of his apartment when an unknown male subject exposed his genitalia to the victim. The subject was described as a WHM, 30's, 5'06", 155lbs, brown eyes, black hair, light complexion, wearing a white tank top, blue jeans and a studded belt.

ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY 10/20/2004, 5200 block of S. 8th Rd., On 10/20/04, at 2000hrs, the victim, a 32yo male, was walking to his apartment when several unknown subjects approached him. One of the subjects grabbed the victim while the others began to beat him. One of the subjects then demanded the victim's wallet. A passing car scared the subjects who fled on foot before getting the victim's wallet.

The victim went home and later returned to the area with friends. He observed the subjects and contacted police. Responding officers located the subjects, and, after further investigation, three of the subjects, all juveniles, were arrested. Juvenile petitions charging the subjects with attempted armed robbery are pending.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY 10/19/2004, 2800 block of N. Franklin Rd., On 10/19/04, at 1240hrs, officers responded for a report of a suspicious subject seen entering a backyard of a residence. Upon arriving, officers located a subject with a bicycle in the driveway. After further investigation, officers determined that a bicycle, several tools and a set of speakers were stolen from a shed in the backyard. Michael William Ford, 42, of the 2700 block of S. 19th St in Arlington, was arrested and charged with unlawful entry and grand larceny.

The subject was described as a BM, 20's, 5'9", 180lbs, brown eyes, black hair, medium complexion, wearing a gray windbreaker, black jeans, tennis shoes and a black baseball hat.

ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 10/10/2004, 2800 block of S. 19th St., On 10/09/04, at 2100hrs, an unknown subject attempted to use a ladder to gain entry into a residence. The resident saw the subject at the window, and the subject fled the scene. The subject was described as either a BM or WHM, 20s, brown eyes, black hair, light complexion wearing a dark-colored baseball hat.

ARMED ROBBERY 10/8/2004, 4700 block of Columbia Pike, On 10/08/04, at 0930hrs, the victim, a 34yo male, was opening a store that he managed when a purported customer (Subject #1) produced a handgun and forced the victim to lie on the ground inside the store. At that time, two other subjects, who were hiding nearby, appeared and held the door open. Subject #1 stole the victim's backpack containing miscellaneous personal items and all three subjects fled on foot.

Subject #1 was described as a WHM, 23-24, 5'7", brown eyes, brown hair, light complexion, wearing a khaki jacket, khaki pants and a baseball cap. The other subjects were both described as WHMs wearing baseball caps.

ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 10/8/2004, 1500 block of S. 13th Rd., Sometime between 0445hrs and 1575hrs on 10/08/04, unknown subject(s) attempted to force entry into a residence by prying open the front door.

INDECENT EXPOSURE 10/8/2004, 1800 block of Adams St., On 10/08/04, at 2040hrs, victim #1, a 31yo female, was walking down the street, and moved aside for a jogger approaching from behind. When the subject jogged past, he exposed his genitalia, made a comment and kept running. Moments after this incident, victim #2, a 23yo female, was getting into her vehicle in the 1800 block of Key Blvd, when the subject ran up and exposed his genitalia. The subject again fled on foot.

Both victims described the subject as a WHM, 20-25, 5'5", 130lbs, black hair, medium complexion, wearing a black cap, white T-shirt and gray shorts.

ARMED ROBBERY 10/8/2004, 900 block of Army Navy Dr., On 10/08/04, at 2214hrs, a subject entered the a grocery store and began to conceal merchandise in his bag. When a store security officer attempted to stop the subject, the subject produced a knife and threatened the security officer. The subject then exited the store where Arlington police officers apprehended him. Keith Stewart, 33, of no fixed address was arrested and charged with armed robbery and shoplifting.

ARMED ROBBERY 10/8/2004, 200 block of S. Jackson St., On 10/08/04, at 0145hrs, the victim, a 36yo male cab driver, was dropping off two subjects whom he picked up in the 1200 block of S. Hayes St. when one of the subjects produced a handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and the subjects fled on foot on S. 2nd St.

Subject #1 was described as a BM, 5'8", 160lbs, dark complexion, goatee, wearing a black shirt with a black shirt, blue jeans and a knit cap. Subject #2 was described as a BM, 6'2", 200lbs, medium complexion, wearing a white T-shirt, black jeans and a knit cap.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 10/7/2004, 5500 block of Columbia Pike, Sometime between 1200hrs and 1730hrs on 10/06/04, unknown subject(s) entered an apartment and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no signs of forced entry.

ROBBERY 10/7/2004, 1000 block of S. Jefferson St., On 10/07/04, at 2315hrs, the victim, a 42yo female, was walking to her house when an unknown subject walked up, grabbed the victim's purse and fled on foot. A Fairfax County police officer, who was in the area on another call, stopped a subject matching the description given by the victim. After further investigation, Mohd Fares Al Najjar, 19, of the 5900 block of Columbia Pike in Falls Church, was arrested and charged with robbery. He is currently being held without bond in the Arlington County Detention Facility.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 10/3/2004, 700 block of N. Glebe Rd., On 10/03/04, at 0130hrs, officers responded for an alarm at a store. Upon arrival, officers reviewed a security tape, which revealed a subject in the store stealing bottles of cologne. A description of the subject was broadcast to all officers; later that day, officers observed the subject in the vicinity of the store. After further investigation, Dennis Michael Key, 53, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with burglary.

ASSAULT BY MOB 10/3/2004, 4400 block of N. Pershing Dr., On 10/03/04, at 1830hrs, officers responded for a report of a group of intoxicated subjects fighting. Officers arrested Alex Echeveria, 19 of no fixed address; Alberto Albares, 32, of the 4300 block of Henderson Rd. in Arlington; and Jose Gomez-Perez, 20, of the 400 block of George Mason Dr in Arlington. All of the subjects were charged with assault by mob.

ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING 10/2/2004, 3200 block of Washington Blvd., On 10/02/04, at 0005hrs, the victim, a 34yo male, was working as a security officer at the Clarendon Ballroom, when a subject, who had previously been asked to leave the establishment, returned and attempted to get in. The subject, who was intoxicated, produced a knife. The victim went into the restaurant, shut the door and called for police. Before police arrived on scene, the subject attempted to flee the scene on foot. The victim, however, chased the subject and held him until police arrived. Juan Montano, 25, of the 1200 block of N. Irving St was arrested and charged with attempted malicious wounding.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 10/1/2004, 4100 block of Fairfax Dr., Sometime between 09/29/04 at 1800hrs, and 10/01/04, at 0845hrs, an unknown subject(s) entered an office suite and stole a CD player and adapter. There were no signs of forced entry.
