RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 12/19/2002, 1600 N. 21st St., Sometime between 1200hrs on 12/18/02 and 0730hrs and 12/19/02, an unknown subject(s) forced entry through a window into several apartment storage rooms and stole a battery lamp, an electric toy car, a camping tent and a propane camping stove.

ROBBERY 12/19/2002, 600 N. Glebe Rd., On 12/19/02, at 1845hrs, the victim, an 18yo male, was walking in the Ballston Mall when he saw Subject #1. The victim recognized Subject #1 from school. The victim willingly accompanied Subject #1 to his vehicle in the parking garage. Upon reaching the car, the victim was approached by two other subjects. One of the subjects struck the victim in the face causing the victim to fall to the ground. The subjects then grabbed the victim’s wallet. All three subjects then fled in Subject #1’s car. Subject #1 is known to the victim as “Devon”, he is a BM, 19-21yo, 6’2”, 160lbs, bald, wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes. Subject #2 was described as a BM, 18-20yo, 6’0”, 170lbs, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and black shoes. Subject #3 was described as a WHM, 18-20yo, 5’9”, 200lbs, wearing a blue and white baseball cap, a red shirt, blue pants and white shoes.

ARMED ROBBERY, 12/19/2002, 4700 S. Columbia Pike., At 2000hrs, the victim, a 39yo male, was robbed by an unknown subject as he prepared to close the store he managed. The subject hid in the men’s bathroom and waited for the store to close when he approached the victim. The subject was wielding a handgun and demanded money. The victim complied, and the subject fled the scene. The subject was described as a BM, 5’5”, 110lbs. and was last seen wearing jeans, a black jacket, a black mask and carried a blue book bag.

ROBBERY 12/19/2002, 2400 S. Shirlington Rd., On 12/17/02, at 0042hrs, the victim, a 32yo male, was using a pay phone when he was approached by an unknown subject. The subject punched the victim several times causing the victim to fall to the ground. The subject then removed an undetermined amount of cash from the victim’s wallet and fled the scene on foot. The subject was described as a BM, 25-30yo, 5’6”, 250lbs, wearing a black bulky winter coat and black pants with a red stripe.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 12/19/2002, 2400 S. 26th Ct., Sometime between 2300hrs on 12/03/02 and 0745hrs on 12/04/02, an unknown subject(s) entered an open garage and stole a remote garage door opener.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 12/16/2002, 4700 S. Chesterfield Rd., Sometime between 1530hrs on 12/13/02 and 0555hrs on 12/16/02, an unknown subject(s) entered a storage area where two large tool boxes were pried open. It is unknown what items were stolen from the tool boxes.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 12/16/2002, 1000 N. Garfield St., Sometime between 1800hrs on 12/14/02 and 1015hrs on 12/16/02, an unknown subject(s) forced entry into a business by breaking a window. The subjects stole clothing and other miscellaneous items.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 12/16/2002, 1600 N. Fort Meyer Dr., Sometime between 1700hrs on 12/13/02 and 0800hrs on 12/16/02, an unknown subject(s) entered an office suite and stole several laptop computers. There were no signs of forced entry.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 12/16/2002, 1500 N. Rhodes St., Sometime between 1900hrs and 2230hrs on 12/14/02, an unknown subject(s) entered an apartment and stole an undetermined amount of cash and a leather jacket. There were no signs of forced entry.

ROBBERY 12/13/2002, 2500 N. Harrison St., On 12/13/02, at 2248hrs, the victim, a 52yo female, was getting into her car in a store parking lot when an unknown subject grabbed her purse. The subject fled the scene on foot. The subject was described as a BM, late teens or early 20’s, 6’0”, 215lbs, wearing a large black coat and a black knit cap.

ROBBERY 12/13/2002, 4800 Columbia Pike, At 2055hrs, the victim, a 19yo female, was leaving a store when her purse was grabbed by an unknown subject. The victim was knocked to the ground and pulled by the subject until the purse was freed from her grasp. Several witnesses chased the subject, but he escaped in a waiting vehicle. The subject was described as a male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The suspect vehicle was described as an older silver or cream colored four-door Cadillac with no rear tag. The vehicle fled north on S. Buchanan St.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 12/12/2002, 1300 N. 17th St., Sometime between 1710hrs on 12/11/02 and 0855hrs on 12/12/02, an unknown subject(s) entered an office suite and stole two computers and miscellaneous computer equipment. There were no signs of forced entry.

ARMED ROBBERY 12/12/2002, 2900 S. Glebe Rd., At approximately 2100hrs, the victims, a 48yo female and a 44yo male, were talking to a subject known to them. The subject suddenly displayed a knife, struck the female victim, and took her purse. The subject then struck the male victim but did not steal anything from him. The subject was described as an hispanic male, 5’9” with a muscular build. The subject supposedly lives in the area of Mt. Vernon Ave.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 12/10/2002, 500 S. 23rd St., Sometime between 0330hrs and 0650hrs on 12/10/02, an unknown subject(s) broke into an exterior walk-in freezer. Various food items were stolen.

Columbia Pike., On 12/17/02, at 1830hrs, the victim, a 30yo male, was sitting in a vehicle at the corner of Columbia Pike and Glebe Rd., when he was approached by two known subjects. One of the subjects produced a knife and threatened the victim. The subjects ordered the victim out of the car and then took an undetermined amount of cash from the victim’s pocket. Both subjects fled the scene on foot. Subject #1 was described as a BM, 34yo, 5’10”, 240lbs, brown eyes and black hair. Subject #2 was described as a BM, 47yo, 5’9”, 210lbs, brown eyes and black hair.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 12/3/2002, 4600 N. Washington Blvd., Sometime between 0835hrs and 1435hrs on 12/03/02, an unknown subject(s) entered an apartment and stole a video game and an empty purse. There were no signs of forced entry.

ROBBERY 11/20/2002, 700 S. 18th St., On 11/20/02, at approximately 1545hrs, the victim, a 53yo female, was getting into her vehicle when she was approached from behind by an unknown subject. The subject grabbed her purse and then fled on foot toward S.18th St. The subject then got into a burgundy vehicle at 18th St. and left the scene toward S. Eads St. The subject was described as a BM, medium build, 20’s, wearing a leather jacket.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 11/19/2002, 2300 Clarendon Blvd., At approximately 0030hrs, officers were dispatched to the above location for a burglar alarm. Upon arrival, officers surrounded the building. After several minutes, the subject exited the building and was apprehended with items from the building. Michael Howard Culpepper, Jr., 23, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with burglary.

ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 11/18/2002, 200 N. Piedmont St., Sometime between 2345hrs and 2359hrs on 11/17/02, an unknown subject(s) attempted to force entry into an apartment through a kitchen window by pushing the window off the track.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY 11/16/2002, 1500 N. Clarendon Blvd., The victim, a 47yo male, was at a stop light when a subject entered his car through an unlocked door. The subject produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s jewelry and cash. The victim told the subject he was not going to give the jewelry, but he had a large amount of money back at the hotel. They entered the hotel, the victim escaped. The subject ran south on N. Courthouse Rd. toward Rt. 50.

ROBBERY 11/13/2002, 1200 S. Walter Reed Dr., The victim a 32yo male was walking down the street when two males approached him. While one grabbed him, the other took his wallet. They left, southbound on Walter Reed Drive.

ROBBERY 11/13/2002, 4300 S. Four Mile Run Dr., The victim a 32yo male, was walking to his apartment in an alley when he was attacked by five males. The males struck him in the leg and across his face. They then grabbed the bag the victim was carrying and ran.

ROBBERY 11/13/2002, 200 N. Glebe Rd., The victim, a 34yo male, was walking when approached from the rear by two subjects. The victim was punched in the face, but was able to hit one of the subjects in the head. The subjects pushed the victim to the ground and took his wallet. The subjects were seen running northbound towards Pershing Dr.

BANK ROBBERY 11/8/2002, 5300 N. Lee Hwy., An unknown subject entered Virginia Commerce Bank through the front door. He walked around to the teller’s stations and ordered them onto the floor. He claimed to have a bomb in the bag. He then took money from the bottom drawer. He ordered a victim to give him money from the vault, but instead took money from another work station. He then left the bank through the front door.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 11/7/2002, 1500 N. Wilson Blvd., Sometime between 1700hrs and 1909hrs on 11/07/02, an unknown subject(s) entered a business. The subject(s) stole electronic equipment and other miscellaneous items.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 11/7/2002, 1900 N. Ft Myer Dr., Sometime between 1930hrs on 11/06/02 and 1330hrs on 11/07/02, an unknown subject(s) entered a business. The subject(s) stole electronic equipment from an unlocked office.

ROBBERY 11/7/2002, 2700 N. Washington Blvd. At 2237hrs, the victim, a 31yo male, was returning to his vehicle at a convenience store when he was confronted by a subject. The subject produced a knife and demanded the victim’s money. The victim fled, but then fell. The subject, then straddled the victim and again demanded his money, the victim complied. The subject then fled and got into a vehicle and drove away.

ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 11/6/2002, 2900 S. 16th St. Sometime between 1612hrs and 1930hrs on 11/06/02, unknown subject(s) moved a screen and broke a window at a residence, but the subject(s) did not gain entry.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 11/5/2002, 1700 N. Moore St., Sometime between 1800hrs on 11/05/02 and 0700hrs on 11/06/02, unknown subject(s) forced entry into a business office. The subject(s) stole electronic equipment.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 11/5/2002, 1900 N. Ft. Myer Dr., Sometime between 1800hrs on 11/04/02 and 0720hrs on 11/05/02, unknown subject(s) forced entry into two office suites by prying open the front door. The subject(s) stole an undetermined amount of cash, electronic equipment and several miscellaneous items.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 11/4/2002, 1900 N. Culpepper St., Sometime between 1100hrs and 1400hrs on 11/04/02, unknown subject(s) entered the residence through an unlocked door and stole a receiver to a cordless phone.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 11/2/2002, 4200 N. Pershing Dr. On 11/03/02 at 0430hrs, officers were dispatched to the a restaurant for an alarm sounding. Upon arrival, officers observed a subject at the rear of the store holding food from the restaurant. The door handle on the back door was broken and lying on the ground. As officers approached the subject, the subject dropped the food, fled on foot and eluded capture after a foot pursuit. Later that night, an Arlington officer observed a subject matching the description in the area of the restaurant. The subject was stopped and positively identified as the subject from the incident described. Miguel E. Contreras, 27, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with burglary, petit larceny and destruction of property.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 11/2/2002, 4400 N. Pershing Dr. 11/02/02, Sometime between 2200hrs on 11/02/02 and 0300hrs on 11/03/02, unknown subject(s) entered an apartment through a window and stole keys and a discman. The stolen keys were then used to steal the victim’s 1995 Toyota Celica (VA YBK 6632).

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 11/2/2002, 1600 S. Eads St. At 1830hrs, the victim, a 46yo female, was walking in the parking lot, an unknown subject approached her and attempted to grab her car keys. The victim pulled away and raised a metal cart she was pulling as if to strike the subject. The subject then fled on foot south on S. Fern St. The subject was described as possibly a middle eastern male, unknown age, 5’08”, 150lbs wearing light brown or green textile jacket.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 11/1/2002, 4000 N. Woodstock St. Sometime between 0900hrs and 1200hrs on 11/01/02, unknown subject(s) entered the residence and stole various electronic equipment. There were no signs of forced entry.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 11/1/2002, 2300 Wilson Blvd. Sometime between 2100hrs on 10/31/02 and 1000hrs on 11/01/02, an unknown subject(s) forced entry into a restaurant by prying open a back door. The subject(s) stole an undetermined amount of cash from the register.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/30/02, 900 S. Randolph St., At 0100hrs, officers responded for the report of a burglary at a residence. Upon arrival, officers observed a subject breaking a window in a door. The subject did not gain entry into the house. John Freddy Henao, 32, of Alexandria, VA, was arrested and charged with burglary.

ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/30/02, 1900 N. Lynn St., Sometime between 1545hrs on 10/29/02 and 0730hrs on 10/30/02, unknown subject(s) pried the lock of the front door to a building suite; however, no items were stolen.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/28/02, 1500 S. 11th St., Sometime between 1700hrs on 10/26/02 and 1945hrs on 10/28/02, unknown subject(s) entered the residence and removed various electronic equipment and clothing. There was no evidence of forced entry.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/28/02, 1400 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Sometime between 1927hrs on 10/25/02 and 0556hrs on 10/28/02, unknown subject(s) forced entry into a business by prying open a door. The subject(s) stole computers, a projector, and various office equipment.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/28/02, 2700 S. 19th St., Sometime between 1530hrs on 10/25/02 and 0809hrs on 10/29/20, unknown subject(s) forced entry into a construction trailer and stole various tools.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 10/28/02, 4300 N. 4th St., Sometime between 1930hrs and 2100hrs on 10/27/02, unknown subject(s) forced entry into an apartment and stole stereo equipment and an undetermined amount of cash.

ROBBERY, 10/27/02, 4200 Four Mile Run Dr., At 0306hrs, the victim, a 26yo male, was approached by three unknown subjects who began to assault him without provocation. The subjects took the victim's wallet and fled on foot. The victim chased the subjects and confronted them at the Barplex. The victim asked the subjects to return his work permit. The subjects returned the entire wallet and the victim ran away. All three subjects were described as hispanic males.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/25/02, 2400 Wilson Blvd., On 10/25/02, at approximately 0700hrs, an unknown subject entered the store and stole an undetermined amount of cash from the register.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 10/25/02, 1400 S. Rolfe St., Sometime between 1500hrs on 10/24/02 and 0700hrs on 10/25/02, unknown subject(s) forced entry into a construction trailer through a window and stole a cordless drill and a portable heater.

ROBBERY, 10/25/02, 6700 N. Lee Hwy, At approximately 2221hrs, the victim, a 49yo male, was returning to his vehicle at a convenience store when he was confronted by two subjects. Subject #1 produced a handgun and demanded the victim's car keys. The victim complied, and both subjects got into the vehicle and drove away. An Arlington County police officer observed the victim's vehicle and followed it into D.C. where a brief pursuit ensued. The subjects were apprehended after the victim's vehicle was involved in a collision. Antonie Jolly (Subject #1), 22, of Washington, D.C., was positively identified and was charged with carjacking and using a firearm in the commission of a felony. The investigation is continuing regarding Subject #2.
