Warrant issued for first ‘bait car’ arrestee

ARLINGTON, VA – April 30, 2002 – The pictured subject is wanted in connection with an incident that occurred on Saturday, March 16, at approximately 0210hrs in the 2600 block of Columbia Pike. The subject, who was sitting in a vehicle, was confronted by security personnel employed by the nightclub he had just left.
As one guard told the subject he was going to call the police, the subject hit the gas and struck a second guard. The victim ended up on the hood of the vehicle which accelerated for approximately half a block. The subject then slammed on the brakes and the victim was flung to the ground. The subject then fled the scene. The victim suffered a leg injury leg and was transported to a local hospital.

The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, 5’10”-6’, 225lbs with black hair, wearing a white shirt and black pants. The vehicle is described as a burgundy SUV with VA plates.
Arlington County Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of this suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Solvers at (703) 522-TIPS (8477), or the Arlington County Police Department at (703) 558-2222. Callers remain anonymous and do not need to testify in court.
