WANTED FOR BANK ROBBERY
ARLINGTON, Va.-January 7, 2003-The Arlington County Police Department is currently investigating the armed robbery of the Virginia Commerce Bank located at 5350 Lee Highway, which occurred at 11:03 a.m. on December 30, 2002. A lone male subject, wielding a claw hammer, walked up to the counter and demanded money from the teller. The subject fled the bank after receiving an undetermined amount of cash. The subject may also be responsible for other bank robberies in the Northern Virginia area. The subject was described as a black male in his 30's, approximately 5'10"-6'0", wearing a construction hard hat, clear safety glasses, a long-sleeved blue shirt or jacket, and a yellow and orange traffic vest.
